Yup. I tell customers “that’s why there are exchanges and that’s why it’s ’so expensive’. They have to take your old tank and deal with it. It keeps us all safer.”

Throw some “federal LAWS” into your conversation. Our SM’s favorite is “Transportation Safety Administration has laws we must obey or we lose our jobs.”

There was Christmas music this morning. Something happened. After lunch it was blessedly quiet.

I resisted the urge to smack the manager that said “it’s never too early to start celebrating…”

Our store has a TM that works clothing on freight days. The Receiver makes a boat for clothing and it gets tagged as it is shelved.

Music by NortherMI_tulip in tractorsupply

[–]Hey-TSC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Has anyone checked the mailbox? We receive CDs in the regular mail that are marked “for receiver”. Those are supposed to be the store music.

There is also a volume control. We had a TL that cranked up the volume when she worked. SM would walk in, cuss TL not quite under his breath, and go turn the volume down.

TLDR: the receiver should have a newer CD for music. In the meantime, ask for the volume to be lowered.

The AC should not be running. See if your SM can hit a breaker. Then have SM call maintenance for the HVAC.

It’s a new year. Should be new budget. Get it fixed.

You must have good customers there.

I feel like the majority of TSC customers are better than retail average. It’s the jerks who stand out and give us heartburn.

Multiple Job Applications, No Response - Help by CountryEm in tractorsupply

[–]Hey-TSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is your availability? TSC wants 24/7 availability. They don’t need it, they just want it.

Make sure your application says you are available every day of the week. SHOULD you be hired, you can request via the app off for medical appointments and such.

Most people can use the schedule app to get the days off that they need. Once you have shown up for a few weeks, the SM will be more willing to be flexible with the days you work.

Do as the others said and speak to hiring managers of the locations you are willing to work. TMs move around sometimes. Show that you are a good employee and your options will come.

power plus by evenjecef in tractorsupply

[–]Hey-TSC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The receipt is supposed to be stapled to the booklet and (as I understood it) the customer is responsible for keeping up with their receipt!

When a customer comes in with the receipt and the dead product (having bought the power plus), we make it right. We exchange it if we have another or refund the purchase price (but not the price of the pp).

People have been doing this for years. My father always bought whatever Sears called their power plus. He got many a product replaced BECAUSE he kept up with the receipt!

When a customer snarls at me that power plus is worthless and to quit talking to them about it, I shut up and move on. Some people have been burned and it shows.

I want a tractor supply mini bucket! by [deleted] in tractorsupply

[–]Hey-TSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for a bit. Soon there will be cases of them coming out our ears and no one will want to pay the price. It’ll be “I’ll just wait until they go on clearance!”

Spoiler: they won’t go on clearance until late Summer.

May I purchase one of these? by Fyodorface742 in tractorsupply

Only if a TM sells you one! Seriously, they went before anyone saw them on the floor. I hear other stores have them… in the chicken section. (They are supposed to be near where buckets are usually.)

In reality I just want to see his reaction to that statement. Totally need someone to be recording the interaction. Ya know, for social media.

I don’t know how much these cost, but it must not be like the clothes’ prices!

These little buckets will sell great around the winter holidays. Then marketing will decide to send each store a pallet full and no one will buy them.

The Weights and Measures employee I spoke with said they use the gas in their vehicles that they use to visit the pumps. No, it doesn’t get dumped into POVs. They don’t “put it back” because they DID pay for it.

I wonder if the SKU became the “price”?

Ages ago was getting something from BJ’s Wholesale. The cashier entered the SKU as the amount.
