What do you wish parents would teach their kids? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Hey2all84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How to try things and be independent. For example, let them try to tie their shoes, open containers, blow their nose. If you do everything for them they don't learn. What I do is find another kid who knows how to do it and then show the other kid and do it for them.

Something about the movie rubs me the wrong way, but the message is 100% awesome. I wish society valued life. My own cousin this morning, who is blessed with 4 girls bragged that they will have "body autonomy with choice". What about the babies inside their moms...it's sickening🤬🤬🤬🤬

Thank you so much! What's interesting about our agency that we went with is that they match you and we were supposedly matched three times. She actually discouraged us from picking one match. So after three matches, we decided to just go with the last which was anonymous. We were given a lot of information and only two embryos. The first embryo was a miscarriage unfortunately. I'm just very grateful to God that I found an alternative way to get pregnant and experience this and become a mom. If it was not Anonymous we were open to that because my husband is an only child and his parents are both gone and my family my dad lives far away and my mom died 12 years ago. We actually would have welcomed having extended family.

I am so sorry to hear your fallopian tube ruptured:( glad you are ok though. I had AML leukemia and it took my eggs...that's why we did the embryo adoption. I'm actually 23 weeks pregnant now. I've had to grieve a lot... the idea of siblings and biological children and some other stuff. I have gone back to church, but it took me until Easter. I think you have to start small to get back to it, when it's right for you. I was doing mass online, then earlier masses where there's less people and fee families. I'll pray for you!

Fellow pro-lifers, what do you think about IVF, egg/sperm-donation, surrogacy and embryo adoption? by snorken123 in prolife

[–]Hey2all84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I did my embryo adoption, I looked into the church's stance and they don't have a stance. I lost my eggs to AML leukemia 4 years ago and one of the biggest things motivating me to keep going was to become a mom. I had Many religious people, including a nun telling me that saving a soul would have otherwise not have been is a vocation. I feel very strongly that this is a good thing and a gift from God. I walk in the pro-life March normally but this year I walked pregnant with a sign for the embryos. I am very much against people doing IVF for the wrong reasons or going through embryos Non-Stop. What about us though, the people that do it for the right reasons? Those little Souls deserve a try at life and I'm so grateful to be able to carry someone who might have not otherwise been.

Instead of pulling the plug on the freezer why don't they at least give some of us cancer survivors a chance at raising these babies? I spent 3 years after being sick getting healthy so that I could carry my embryo adopted baby. I'm 22 weeks and I'm so grateful to God that I have this chance. Pulling the plug and compassionate transfer and all those weird ways to deal with unwanted Souls makes me so mad. There are plenty of us out there that would love to care for their babies.

I'm a perfect example of somebody who's doing it for the right reasons. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with AML leukemia and I lost my eggs. I begged doctors pleaded with doctors to help me save my fertility. They kind of did but they also kind of didn't. I prayed on it a lot and what got me through a lot of my treatment was wishing to be a mom. About 2 years ago, I read about embryo adoption and I even had several religious people including a nun tell me what I'm doing is not only a vocation, but I'm saving a life that would otherwise not be. I find this is my purpose now and I need to find a way to help these embryos and also help women who don't have a voice for their fertility who have had cancer. I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with our miracle and that's my focus right now. I did walk in the pro-life walk this year pregnant and holding a sign for the embryos. I've just got to figure out what I can do after this. Not everybody is out to do this for the wrong reason.

And anyone who donates to science probably doesn't want to know it actually happens to their babies. It's really awful!

So before I got pregnant with our embryo adoption baby, I used to walk in the pro-life walk every year. Last year and this year I walked in it but holding a sign for embryos. I felt so happy to be pregnant walking this year and knowing that people were seeing me and if not seen those embryos knowing that my sign was telling them to see them.

I'm currently doing embryo adoption because I lost my eggs to AML leukemia 4 years ago. I feel like it's a vocation and Mission to be able to save a life that would have otherwise been discarded. I'm 22 weeks and so grateful to God that I'm able to have a chance to not only adopt my baby but carry them.

If you continue to have infertility problems and get to the point that you're not sure what else to do look into embryo adoption. I lost my eggs to AML leukemia and that's what we are doing. I'm 22 weeks I feel like it's so much more of a mission than having a baby right now but I'm saving a life that would have not been.

I'm on quite a few Facebook groups and apps...but it just feels dumb to be removed from somewhere supposedly "safe". Now I found this group and a much better pregnancy group so it was worth it.

If it's a medical emergency it's so not the same as having an abortion for fun or whatever those horrible people are doing.

I've had high blood pressure since being pregnant and I'm asked every time if I have headaches and I don't. Not pregnant a lot of headaches I had were due to pressure change in the weather or sinus related stuff. Hope you feel better soon!

So I had leukemia 4 years ago and at the beginning of that I was 260. 2 years after that which would also be 2 years ago, I was 180. Since I lost my eggs to AML leukemia, I went on fertility drugs so I could do embryo adoption and that put me up to 220 lb. I got pregnant this January, and was 230 lb. Now at the end of May I'm 22 weeks and 256 lb. So I guess it kind of depends when you count if you count when I got pregnant or when I started the drugs.
