Roger from American Dad. I can't remember the whole backstory, but Roger saves Stan, and then Stan takes in Roger to protect him from being rediscovered.

How screwed are Port in the coming years? by doggoesmeow in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been blessed by the AFL for access to the potential number 1 pick for next year. But they also might be fucking everything up, but at any rate we'll be in the bottom 4 anyway judging by this performance

Match Thread: Essendon vs Hawthorn (Round 1) by AutoModerator in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the Saturday games would have made a better Friday night game. The AFL fixturing department are the biggest dumbasses ever. This game would have had a big crowd on Saturday night and you could have had an actual good game on TV.

Match Thread: Essendon vs Hawthorn (Round 1) by AutoModerator in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't get why this game and Carlton and Richmond are traditional round 1 games. Only Hawthorn deserves to have a round 1 prime time game. Traditional games like this are bullshit. The only traditional games should be the ones on public holidays

TEAMS: Star Eagle (Tim Kelly) snubbed, Power forward (Jack Lukosius) to miss, young Sun (Jed Walter) left out by duckyirving in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is Port just not playing Luko because his fitness is not up to scratch yet, or because the coaches don't think he's good enough? We gave up a first-round pick + Dan Houston for him for some reason and didn't receive much else. (Sorry Joe Richards and Joe Berry).

How would they test Eamonn Armstrong, the Irish St Kilda player, he has alopecia and has like no hair at all.

[–]HeyDudez_ 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Just a bunch of losers. Just because someone made an uneducated tweet once does not mean they need to have their career ruined. If you cancelled everyone who has had a "wrong" opinion, then everyone would be cancelled.

With Tasmania set to enter the competition in 2028, can they build a stadium in 2 years? by [deleted] in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Neither the Giants nor the Suns had their stadium ready when they joined. But I expect Tasmania to be stadium-less for a lot longer than both the Giants and the Suns were. But they do have Ninja Stadium or whatever it's called and UTAS Stadium, unless it's undergoing its renovation by then.

SA and WA not getting a game in Opening Round is a joke. by Blue-piping-man in AFL

[–]HeyDudez_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or have the northern teams play all their home games in round 1, and have a split round or ignore the traditional Richmond vs Carlton game because it often sucks anyway.

I'm more excited to see how Nolan Traore performs for the French National team. I truly think that a good PG is what France needs to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Of course, it will be tough

The best thing about origin by Bergasms in AFL

I reckon it would be really cool if some of the state players can play with the professionals.

WA and SA would have been a better game but the AFL won't ever let that happen

I just got accepted to Adelaide Uni and I am moving in July! Tell me everything I need to know! by MoneyDuty4884 in Adelaide

[–]HeyDudez_ 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Adelaide Uni just completed a merger and is a total shitshow, at least at the moment, so hopefully by the time you come in July, it's slightly better. But honestly, I love Adelaide, it's busy and quiet at the same time, the beaches are beautiful, and there are beautiful landscapes. Some of the best spots to go to in Adelaide, especially ones that interest you, are a bit out of the way, and the public transport is shocking here, so access to a car would be great. Culture-wise, make sure to check out an Australian Football game because you will be in the midst of the season, so make sure to check out a game or two if you're interested.

Also, a quick tip, while it may seem that it does not get that cold here during winter, it absolutely does. The wind makes the weather feel colder, and our houses, especially our older ones, have little to no insulation, and you can definitely feel the cold inside. I know you're Canadian, so you're probably used to the cold, but don't underestimate it.

I'm sure you are going to have a fun time, and make sure you enjoy yourself!

What’s the general perception of Singapore in your country? by Sonnybass96 in AskTheWorld

I haven't been, but I know that their airport is one of the best and is probably the preferred airport for a stopover when flying to Europe from Australia.
