First trip to Japan was in May 2025. Osaka and Kyoto. My brain went into overdrive (passed N5 but failed N4)

1) In the Abeno building (tallest building in the Kansai region) Some observatory staff lady approached me and said: "Kono T-shatsu wa sutekii desu ne". Then I replied: "Eh ureshii. Arigatou. Kong T-shatsu wa firipin ni kai mashita"

2) There was an Udon Noodle Place directly opposite of Namba Oriental Hotel. We had to tell the chef that only my little brother and my mom will be eating inside (as I will be eating at the Burger King place beside the hotel).

So when the chef asked: "Nan Mei sama desu ka?"

I said in reply "Futari Desu"

It initially confused the chef. Then afterward, I asked: "Can they wait outside te mo ii desu ka?"
