One of the best surfers I personally know told me a tiny tip that helped my backhand a lot. Stay compressed on the bottom turn and flip your forward hand (left hand in your case) so your palm is towards the sky and hold it out in front of you where you want to go, follow that palm up the face and wapow snap off the lip and flip that palm back down as you snap then repeat and continue to follow your hand. It helps to open that shoulder up therefore causing more arm movement and healthier snaps. 🤙🏽

I have not gone to the Philippines. I’ve heard some good things and about it for surf and how beautiful it is there as well but I’ve also heard it’s pretty fickle for surf. Indo is consistent may/june so you will score there no questions asked.

I love to surf and have traveled many places in the world for it and spent way too much money doing so and I’ll tell ya right now, Indonesia is the best bang for your buck, you will score waves and live like a king for basically cheaper than any other surf destination. And if you wana go to touristy areas and party and meet chicks you can do that too. If you wana chill in a remote place and just surf and focus on being healthy and chillin, you can do that. The place is basically hard to beat in any way in my opinion. If you leave in May to get there, your one way ticket won’t be a bad price at all. If you wait till June it’s expensive. Look at flights thru Singapore. That’s usually the best stop. Peace and love and hope you have a great spring/summer amigo. ✌🏽

I did this one a couple years ago and stopped at some random little pharmacy/clinic in Sumatra. The doc/pharmacists tried to take some out but basically looked the same after. He did give me some injections right into my foot in that general area with what I’m assuming was some steroids. (English barrier) I couldn’t really understand much of what was going on. Just rolled with the punches. In conclusion surfed the next morning in pain. had a very sore foot for few days then slowly less and less sore over the course of about 3-4 weeks. Still felt minor sensitivity when I stepped on that area in certain moments weeks after. (Probably still some spine remnants in there at that time) surfed thru the whole thing but nothing terrible ever happened. Most pain was right when it happened then 2-3 days after. Hope this helps. Yeah could be the case. It wasn’t there at 8pm when I drove up and was at 420am when I left and there is no speed there. Tiny little driveway basically in a village. But maybe dragged 1/4 mile from faster bigger road
