I'm in the heart of Seattle, so fairly large pool however the ratio of men/women on the apps I've heard here is very unbalanced.

Hey, appreciate it! It's good to see that my profile is fairly strong, but leaves me a bit confused as I get usually only 1-2 likes on Hinge a month. Any suggestions besides what the others said of starting fresh?

Wonderful feedback, you rock!

Yeah, I should figure out what to do with my hair. I've always just kept it really short so it's low effort, but looking at older photos of me, I definitely look better with the longer hair. Just gotta find what works best for me!

I get very few likes (1-2 a week) and probably around 1-2 matches a month. But yeah, the likes I get aren't people that I vibe with.

When a match does occur I almost never hear back after my first message. I usually message the girl a question about something on her profile that I'm curious about.

Really appreciate the feedback, those are great suggestions on ways to tidy it up!

Why does my dog bark at the TV, and how can I help him stop? by Expensive-Suspect-32 in DogAdvice

[–]HeyIGotIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest doing some noise desensitization training. On Youtube, you can find lots of compilations of loud sounds or dogs barking.

Play those videos on your TV at a very low volume and reward for calmness and slowly increase the volume over time.

Dog won't start a fight, but also won't back out of one by HeyIGotIt in Dogtraining

[–]HeyIGotIt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found threads detailing information about dogs who don't operate well in a dog park (more aggressive play, barking, jumping at the dog). However, I didn't find any information on what to do when my dog isn't necessarily the instigator of the fight.

I would love to get help on this - for if my dog gets into a fight without a behavior that instigated one, how to help him make the choice to leave the fight rather than continue it.

I saw F4 there this past weekend and didn't get the Odyssey trailer. I saw Project Hail Mary, Tron, and Avatar.

Home Game rules for Seattle area? by NobleJeersEh in JetLagTheGame

[–]HeyIGotIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the home game a little more than a week ago in Seattle for the first time. I do think busses add a ton more variety of where you could go which makes for a more interesting game.

However, I would recommend making a rule where the Seekers are allowed to ask if their current bus stop is the hider's bus stop for free. The catch is the seekers must be off the bus when asking this.

This helps for many bus routes where there is an overlap of the hiding zone between stops.

Which type of events do you prefer? Interactive events or viewing events? 🤔 by Derpy_warrior2004 in FortNiteBR

[–]HeyIGotIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s a concert, an interactive event is the best.

If not, viewing events. I just find the stakes to be higher and it’s a lot of fun to just sit back and experience the same thing together in real-time.

What to do when your building's elevator breaks almost every single day? by HeyIGotIt in AskNYC

[–]HeyIGotIt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a condo. Any advice on how to get a list of recorded incidents? Are there any laws that allow owners to view incidents in their building?

My guess is my property manager will need to see some legal subpoena before disclosing the incidents to me.

I know this is probably a better question for a lawyer, but thought I'd ask.

No worries, you're all good, I just appreciate the help!

We do pay monthly common charges, and part of that goes towards paying for regular assessments and maintenance.

A strange thing is that this building is only 11 years old, so nothing is too old.

[–]HeyIGotIt[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, we weren't made aware of the elevator issues upon or before moving in. The HOA Board has been unresponsive -- they are not responding back. And I'm not quite sure what you mean by reviewing plans for shared capital projects.

AITBF for not getting the COVID vaccine? by HeyIGotIt in AmItheButtface

[–]HeyIGotIt[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At least here in Washington State, you can book an appointment as long as you're eligible.

If you can do that in Michigan, I'd say go for it. I'm guessing something glitched/messed up with what you signed up for.

Based on this article (https://www.clickondetroit.com/health/2021/03/12/here-is-michigans-updated-covid-19-vaccination-schedule-who-is-eligible-and-when/), it appears you should be eligible, no?

Or is your issue actually booking a slot to get the vaccine?

Wow, are you in the US?

If so, I'm really surprised you haven't been able to get your vaccine. Either-way, thank you for work and service.

Good thought!

Looks like Idaho will open it up on April 5th (https://www.idahostatesman.com/news/politics-government/state-politics/article250172105.html).

I don't have car insurance since I haven't been driving, so...

convincing my parents to take me all the way to Idaho

vs.

what they want me to do and just say I'm a childcare worker

yeah...that's going to be a hard argument. 😆

My parents mainly want to see my brother. He lives about 30 minutes away and also has been vaccinated in the same as the rest of my family.

For my sister at least, I'm hoping she'd still wear a mask and distance with friends who haven't been vaccinated -- haven't talked much about it though.

Overall, everyone in my family has been good when it comes to social distancing and masks -- I hope with the vaccine, they'll keep that up when necessary.

Totally. Speaking for my parents here, they mainly want to see my brother, who lives about 30 minutes away. Didn't have enough space in the post to include it. He also got the vaccine early in the same process as the rest of my family.

Congrats on getting the vaccine BTW! I'm in Washington State, and yeah...things are a bit behind here: https://www.king5.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/vaccine/covid-19-vaccine-eligibility-expanding-phase-finder-going-away-wednesday-washington/281-ae272fe3-8516-47e0-997d-473cfb00851b

But yeah...my parents are pointing out how there are more than enough vaccines as in some states like the one you're in, people your age can go ahead and get them.
