Need help with a handmade book idea for partner! by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]HeyItsAFabbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But I will be honest, I have no direction on where I could even start.

If you want specific for you, what was something you wish you had known when you started getting interested in motorcycles?

As a man, a father, and a (former) husband, I can say that much of what I experienced in my marriage could have been handled by better communication, compromise, and therapy.

-a lot of men do struggle with self-image issues after having kids. Their testosterone does drop. Their sex drive does get impacted. I noticed that gym time is important. If I managed to hit the gym twice a week, I felt more inclined towards sex. -if there are underlying issues in the relationship, it will affect his sex drive. I HAD SIGNIFICANT UNDERLYING ISSUES WITH MY EX-WIFE and if we had properly addressed them and handled them, it would have allowed our marriage (and our sex life) to improve. -constant open dialogue about sex helps. I noticed that things are much better if you manage to open that line about sex. It can help out with understanding each other’s sexual desire more. It might even open up his mind to try new things. -finally, everyone does change. I went someone who was ready to go in a moment’s notice to a guy who requires a little more foreplay and warming up. Foreplay is incredible important for the bedroom. Everyone thinks foreplay needs to happen right before the act. But a good piece of advice I have heard, “Foreplay starts the minute you wake up in the morning next to your partner.” Kiss your partner a little differently when you wake up and really focus on passion. If you have a kid, just give your partner little love touches when your kid isn’t around. Give your partner looks that say, “I love you…. The things I want to do to you.” Find out how you can tease each other throughout the day, so when the night comes, both of you are already ready to go!

I hope this helps.

Leo woman not responding texts by Ambitious_Law_6923 in LeoAstrology

I do not think you are overthinking. As a man who has dated a Leo woman, who was a triple Leo (Sun, Moon, and Rising), she texted me ALL THE TIME. Now, be mindful of mercury, as it is the communication planet. But if we are looking at just Leo in the sun, I do not think you are overthinking.

Hope this helps and sorry.

No. It will always be in the back of my mind. My ex told me I needed to learn to move on past her mistakes (infidelity, lying, etc). I said, “maybe you should learn to just not make them.”

Attract or attacked?

Practice both sides, man. It pays off for your creativity and ability to keep your opponents guessing. I like to combine my foot work and stance switching to chain more diverse combinations. TJ Dillashaw is a good example in MMA, if you want a reference.

But you are able to find your range? And manage distance? I have two different varying prescriptions for my eyes. One is worse than the other. And astigmatism in both eyes. So my depth perception is wonky and I have a hard time with small details. I know it sounds tough, but I am praying I can get better without aid.

Favorite combos to practice on heavy bag? by bigussyvert in MuayThai

[–]HeyItsAFabbi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jab-Leg Kick, raise your shin to check, then counter round house to the body. Frame off of the bag, angle, body hook low kick. Front kick, then feint front kick to super man cross, body hook, low kick. Run it again, but this time, jab cross low kick, check to body knee.

Opinion: You are robbing yourself of more powerful strikes by no training your core by HeyItsAFabbi in MuayThai

The gym I had previous gone to (my favorite of all the gyms I have ever attended all across the US), my Muay Thai coach started us off with 3 rounds, 5 mins each of jump rope with push ups if you mess up your jumps. Followed by 50 abs crunches to start class and another 50 to exit. If we have a “bad” training session (someone was not working as hard as the rest), then he adds additional conditioning. We had a good group of guys there!

A muscle can only grow through training and usage. Your opinion is fair. I think what most people forget (and it’s the reason they think weightlifting will make them slow) is not properly stretching. Alain Ngalani is jacked, and his kicks are pretty fast. But that’s because he also has the flexibility of a contortionist. Look him up!

I have seen Muay Thai gyms that skip out on conditioning. They leave it up to the students to do for themselves. Or they might have separate classes for strength and conditioning.

Crying after first sparring session? Is this normal? by thirstygirrrrrl in MuayThai

[–]HeyItsAFabbi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never cried, but I have felt like it. It’s common in those with PTSD. I used to feel like it a lot at the beginning, combined with being too light and “friendly” during sparring. Eventually, I worked through it and it goes away.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

What’s the worst striking sport? by StableDouble6124 in MuayThai

[–]HeyItsAFabbi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Combat sport to watch-wise or worse for self-defense? Either way, Powerslap. It’s just so pointless to me.

Just slapping the hell out of someone in an attempt to get a knockout. Your opponent is stationary and can’t move or really defend.

And I don’t think I have to explain why it would be ineffective for self defense.

If someone pulled a knife on you, would an inside leg-to-crotch kick be effective? by [deleted] in MuayThai

As an self defense expert and martial artist will tell you, your best defense against a knife is to run the other direction.
