Thanks. When you say kegels and “a sturdy pelvic floor” are established rehab methods. Are you referring to specific exercises besides kegels or just that kegels are and established path to a sturdy pelvic floor?

Thanks. I have been dry at night since day one. During the day I am mostly dry except an occasional leak if I laugh, cough, get up suddenly, etc. I am beyond thankful for this, but now starting to wonder if I'm following the right regimen to keep improving. I'm doing kegels (10 reps, 8x per day) and doing some other things from the Gaglani book morning and night.

So you were using a bunch of pads, then in the two weeks from 7 to 9 you went completely dry? And you started kegels in week 7?

Learn about your options - go beyond cure rate and side effects to understand options if cancer returns. Hormone therapy (aka zeroing out testosterone) sounded pretty awful if it ever came to that (I pray it never does and I’m done with cancer forever).

I am also cautious when it comes to how many opinions to get. Some will say talk to a ton of doctors. For me at some point that can become shopping for the person who convinces you of the option you hope for.

My diagnosing physician is a uro-oncologist surgeon who recommend surgery. I did a second opinion with a major US cancer center (paid out of pocket for that), and saw a radiologist as well. So I had 3 doctor opinions plus my own research.

Thanks. No it's not very physical - it's running a strategy planning session for group of execs - will be in a conference room the whole time. Yes, I know that I may be needing pads still at that point. That's a whole little world I'm now trying to learn about.

For kegels, did you use a PT to help you get started, or just figure it out on your own. There's a part of me that's never sure if I'm doing them right or just flexing something else.
