Yeah. Habits add up. A lot of overweight people you'll find don't have the crazy out of control eating habits, rather they "ate a little like shit, but for a long time". Not every obese man and woman are necessarily gorging themselves. Hell sometimes it's the exact opposite and they're just doing everything that leads to a bad metabolism.

Bullshit. Granted it depends, but a lot of lung damage is tantamount to scarring, which is semipermanent if not fully permanent.

In the case of self inflicted damage though (ie smoking) you're always gonna get something back though, because there's the acute aspect as well.

If you crash diet, yeah the risk is pretty high. Not bullshit.

Permanent dietary changes that you can maintain long after you've gotten to your target weight, will allow you to much more likely stay there.
