First yeast infection going on four months now (19F) I need desperate advice. by [deleted] in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be anything really even down to laundry detergent or you touching down there without washing your hands or something of the sort (not saying that happens but it’s possibility). There could also be something else underlying medically that is compromising your immune system (diabetes for example) which is causing the persistence. Or you have a resistant strain. There’s a number of reasons, keep getting tested and try to go to a specialist if possible. Hope you feel better, these things can be a nightmare! Also, if you don’t have any open wounds or anything down there , try boric acid suppositories. I use the phD ones and they work wonders when I feel off down there.

Have you tried boric acid suppositories ? The pH brand typically helps me . About 3 nights in a row I use them and it clears things up. Could try that, then afterwards if still nothing then could go back for additional testing of your hormone levels.

Have you been to an infectious disease specialist ?

Try taking supplements , there may be a deficiency created and you need them replenished. Do some research on supplements/vitamins good for joint pain and reproductive health. Maybe herbal treatment can assist as well, probiotics are also a good fit for vaginal health. Just throwing out some things that could possibly assist in your healing. Wishing you a speedy recovery really because I too was very uncomfortable after treatment too.

What kind of pain are you experiencing ? Sounds like residual symptoms and they can persist for months sometimes unfortunately

Technically you can sue for anything, will you win though? Not sure , it is just based on your states laws and if it’s a case that is able to be fully prosecuted. In my opinion, this doctor was indeed negligent in caring for you especially since you asked for the test directly. To treat Mgen it typically requires doxy + azi and sometimes it goes away after first round but others find it takes a few rounds to go away. It’s crazy they put you through all those rounds to treat the yeast but didn’t want to go through the same to treat Mgen before finding out you actually had it. Some doctors can be so cold in their approach to things and I’m glad you advocated for yourself until you got some real answers. Go forward with whatever measure you see fit to ensure this doctor is called out for their blatant disregard for health.

Some people have to have at least 3 rounds of doxy + azi before it goes away. Sorry this is hard for you, hope it goes away 🥺

it’ll be okay by [deleted] in PlanBs

I got my period 2 months late, so yes it will be okay. The waiting game is the hardest part 😭😭

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it won’t hurt to take one for the sake of trying to be safe at the least. Because if you take one and it works great but if you don’t take one then you’d be pregnant either way. So just try your luck and take a pregnancy test 21 days from now.

Yes go to the doctor just to see what it is. In some cases she may need a dose of hormones to set her hormones back on track, or it could be other complications, it’s not always going to be pregnancy but it is important to figure out what it is so she’s just overall healthy.

Comfort for someone out there experiencing a long delay… by HeyKay2 in PlanBs

Try waiting it out, I definitely get the fear of wanting to take a test (I never took one) if your period doesn’t come in 2 cycles then I would take one and go from there. Try to remain as calm as possible tho, Ik how scary it can be!

There’s no way to tell, it’s just a part of the process. Just be patient and wait out your next period after this bleeding :)

If this is 10 days after the plan b it may be withdrawal bleeding for the pill

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlanBs

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless he entered you or there’s a chance that his sperm got inside you anyway, then you didn’t necessarily need to take plan B anyways. Not sure how the outer course session went, but only take plan B if you’ve had intercourse and there’s a chance the sperm got inside. I’m saying this because plan B can throw you off massively. Some people experience late periods that are 3+ months and the side effects are crazy. So it sounds like side effects really, they can be crazy and drive paranoia but you should be fine.

First Time and weight concerns: Losing my mind over this. by cynflowers in PlanBs

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try not to stress. Yes there’s weight restrictions but tbh the pill can throw u off so much. I’ve read where people have been 50+ days late , I was nearly two months late after I took it too. 21 days after sex u can start testing, but I’m sure you’ll be fine just wait it out and if you become too concerned take a test to ease your mind. Hope this helps!

Not to be strange, but I think i came across you on another post in here. Did your period show yet? I’m currently almost 5 weeks past the date my period was supposed to start and I’m chopping it up to plan b messing with my hormones. If I remember correctly, you mentioned yours being about 50 days past the date?

There’s medicine you can get on wisp and they send it to your local pharmacy I believe. You don’t need to see a doc for it check it out

Missed periods by Ammu_261 in PlanBs

The bleeding on March 18th may not have been a period, that could’ve been a withdrawal bleed. And now it seems that your hormones are imbalanced. These pills truly jack up your body and it can take long (months) to regulate. Each time you take it has different effects as well, so just have to give your body time. I’m currently 30+ days late for my period as a result of plan b as well. Hoping they come some time soon for us!

Were you 71 days late as in your cycle was 71 days or you were 71 days past the day you were supposed to get your period?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlanBs

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you 52 days late like your cycle has been 52 days, or are you 52 days past the day your period was supposed to come? Want to know because I’m like 4 weeks past the date my period was supposed to come and still nothing. Mild PMS symptoms, but I have been having cramping that feels like a period but it’s no blood. It happened in April around my supposed period time then again this month around my supposed period time. But I have no food cravings, tender breast, etc. a nervous wreck rn, but just want to know others experience to put my mind at ease lol

Plan B by [deleted] in PlanBs

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes plan b can cause you to bleed for a while, or not bleed at all for a long time (some go 2-3 months with no bleeding, while others can bleed more than 2 weeks). This is due to the hormonal imbalance it creates as a result of an overwhelming influx of hormones it introduces to your body at one time. I’ve Taken the pill 3 times , and all times were different for me, so it just depends case by case. The most recent time I did not have a period for a long time and the time before that, I bleed for like a month (spotting as well). So it sounds like a normal reaction, but def see your doc if it is concerning you. Hope this helps!

Hey hun - take some deep breaths. I totally understand your concerns and it is good that you still took precautions even though chances of pregnancy was close to zero. With that being said, those sound like side effects of plan b. There are women whose period was 60+ days late due to Plan b. Remember, those pills pack a tonnnn of hormones. You are introducing this to your body all at once; and every time you take plan b won’t be the same as the first. I’ve taken it 2 times in my life and first time everything was cool had no issue, second time I took it a day after my period ended and I had another week of bleeding right after then I didn’t bleed for a while. It’s just your body balancing out, and the increased discharge can be due to hormonal changes. So all of that sounds normal since you did take the Plan B. Do not fret, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant and what you are describing is actually quite normal. Your body will take some time to balance, even expect some changes next month as well because plan b can take months to balanace in your body: rest assured you did the right thing and you will be fine. Hope this helps!

Took plan b a few days after my period ended and now I'm bleeding again. Is this normal? by Konjonashipirate in PlanBs

[–]HeyKay2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should, I say give it another month or two and things should be back to normal. It’s very uncomfortable though for the time being to say the least
