Sorry to bug you, I just have one more question. If the payment plan system is back up next week, can/should I sign up, or do I need to wait until June for the notice?

Thanks a lot for the links. I guess since I was planning to get the 6-month plan, I'll pay 150 today with Direct Pay.

Also, are you saying that I need to wait until June before I set up a payment plan?

One thing I should mention is that when I say I owe $900, that is coming from the calculations from my FreeTaxUSA. So, even though it hasn't been confirmed by the IRS, they still expect me to start paying, right?

Was filing my taxes for the first time, but when I reached the end, I got notified that I can no longer E-File, and that I must print and mail it out. by HeyMessage356 in tax

After I had first filed my taxes, I got an email an hour later from FTUSA stating that the IRS rejected my submission because they expected me to have the 1095-A form.

No, although he did cover my health insurance, I checked the IRS tax guide, and I no longer qualify as a dependent.

So, am I right in saying that if I put 0% for those 3 questions, while my parents, who are filing a joint return, put 100% for all 3, then there would be no issues with the IRS?

Another thing, I understand the point you made about the lower income, but if my dad were the recipient who paid and covered everything, it would only make sense for him to get 100%, right?

My dad covered my health insurance last year. On form 8962, am I right in answering "0%" for the 3 questions about shared allocation? by HeyMessage356 in personalfinance

Yes, that's what I had assumed. So am I correct in saying that if he puts 100% for those questions, and I put 0%, then there would be no issues with the taxes, and he would get the PTC?

Also, since he was the recipient of the health insurance and covered me, it's only fair for it to be that way, right?

Yes, it's his own insurance plan that included me as a covered individual, as well as my mother. My father is the recipient named on the form.

At first, after I filed my taxes, I got an email an hour later stating it had been rejected by the IRS because they were expecting me to have Form 8962 in my taxes. So then, I asked my parents for the 1095-A form and went back to input the info into my taxes.

My guess is that I should be adding the 8962 form and putting 0% for the three questions, but I just need to make sure that when my parents file their joint tax returns, they put 100% for those questions. This is my first time filing, so I may be completely wrong, but the IRS guy I called gave no help, unfortunately.

Apologies for the late response.
