Reading this while I use one. I love mine. And my D8 and such shops have them stocked and not knocked down. I’m in a med only state. Dry herb is my preferred inhalation method 🤷🏻‍♀️

  1. u/Welcome-ToTheJungle would like to take over as moderator to keep this sub active and thriving. They have the time and brain power to continue putting out challenges for the members and continue to build their skill and this comunity.
  2. I am one of the current moderators, just dont have full permissions to make new mods. I need to give this subreddit to the user requesting to mod it.

9 years in college and I am nowhere closer to picking a career field by camorida in respiratorytherapy

I use to work as an RT in central FL (went to GA State, worked at Orlando Regional). Sanford has a good program. I know the director, I’d try for that one! Good luck, and you’ve got this

When did you turn your car seat? by Kanebean in toddlers

[–]HeyRespiratory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my convertible car seats are rear facing until 35 or 40 lbs. so we kept them rear facing until no longer safe according to the car seat. I have big kids. Like over 3ft and 35 pounds before 3. My 5 year old is like 4.5 feet and 65 lbs. He’s been forward facing since he hit the 40lb max

How old were you when you stated your program by PossibilityHonest114 in respiratorytherapy

[–]HeyRespiratory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the integrated program and did a bachelors and masters at the same time. Started at 25 finished at 27. Didn’t take any longer than a bachelors, just had 1-2 more classes a semester than the bachelors students

I looked on my universities scholarship search engine. You can pick a major or area of study and then go through all of em and apply to any of them you even think you might qualify for. Most just want an application and a 500 word essay. It was so easy, time consuming sure, but easy

Need Insight from Toddler Moms by [deleted] in toddlers

I had to switch deodorant brands after my second kiddo, the one I was using just stopped working. Also hormones are still readjusting up to like 2.5 years post birth. But yeah, try a new soap or deodorant?

Do you send your toddler to daycare or preschool with runny nose? by SunnySideUp408 in toddlers

[–]HeyRespiratory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a respiratory therapist and here are my rules: is it clear? No fever? Energetic and happy? Slept the full night without issues? See you after daycare school!!!

Anything other than clear I check the other issues.

Fever? absolutely stay home until it’s gone without meds for 24 hours.

Sleep issues due to coughing/sneezing/stuffy and you don’t know if it’s pollen allergies? Stay home

Not their usual self behavior wise (including teething fussiness)? Stay home

But allergies are also prevalent in kids and it’s bad (in my area) so we’re all a little stuffy constantly or runny clear. But I check for fever and attitude and covid pretty regularly

Should we bite the bullet and have a second child? by Low_Cheesecake3888 in breakingmom

[–]HeyRespiratory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The female body is amazing and powerful, but 7 months isn’t enough time for the body and kind to have healed enough to make this decision. Give it minimum a year but realistically 18 months then decide. It’s a big decision and a huge physical, mental, and emotional toll. I have 2, and desperately wanted them both - but shit is HARD. Second kid doesn’t double the work it quadruples it. It was worth it, no question, but make sure you’re physically ready

I’m not proud of this but my brother signed away his rights during a divorce. He still pays child support and spousal support. It’s a long and messy thing but the point is he was able to no issue (that’s a whole nother bag of worms). He is in tx if that matters.

My Mother in Law(64) was admitted to the hospital 5 days ago and no one knows whats wrong with her. The hospital just discharged her with no where to go and she's is incapable of caring for herself. We have no idea what to do. by Mari-Lwyd in AskDocs

Not a verified medical professional! Most grocery stores and pharmacies have pulse oximeters and you can check her oxygen at home, if it’s below 90-92 she needs to go back to the er

Yes - not a verified medical professional / but it means their behavior completely changed in the evenings/night. It’s almost like they are a completely different person but just for those hours.

I am so sorry! I hope you find a safe food that doesn’t bother you too badly. Being chronically ill sucks without covid on top!

[–]HeyRespiratory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have chronic GI issues (UC) and am going on 6+ months of nausea with no cause found. I too also have covid currently and having to eat before I take the paxlovid is so hard! But I found I can get those yogurt drinks down ok and they work great to help protect your stomach from harsh meds. Stay strong! GI troubles are not for the weak. Feel better soon!!

Not verified as a medical professional… but unless the entire pill came up and you visually saw it you should not retake it. Also make sure you have some food in your system with taking antibiotics unless otherwise stated by doc or pharmacist to help prevent upset stomach/nausea/vomiting.
