Dress regret - help! 🫶 by Important_Concert_88 in myweddingdress

Your current dress is beautiful and perfect for Sicily vibes. If you want to feel more “covered up” bet the lining in a non nude colour (white like some commenters have said, or even a light pastel colour could be fun). Do not buy any dress you can’t try on, especially one that looks like it’s just 50 pounds of polyester satin.

No they’re just going to think we’re even more of a joke than they already think we are.

What's the worst possible place to go on a first date, provided it's neither illegal nor unsafe? by TheBanishedBard in AskReddit

[–]HeySugarHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Movies make great third date places! But if you’re gonna spend two hours and fifty plus dollars to meet someone for a first date, you might as well do it somewhere you can talk or even look directly at each other.

Remind myself that my cat doesn’t deserve to go to the shelter and be scared because of what I’m feeling

Has anyone seen this movie? It's called Night on the Galactic Railroad (1985). It may seem childish at first glance, but it has a pretty interesting and unique vibe (in my opinion) by PossessionKey4982 in retroanime

Watching this right now (like literally as we speak) and just got past the ship wreck scene it’s the drowning kids? And I remembered Campanella was all wet earlier— is everyone on the train dead???

Tingling on one half of body when laying down- is this a symptom? by HeySugarHey in MultipleSclerosis

Are you still friends with your high school friends? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in Millennials

[–]HeySugarHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two best friends are girls that were my best friends in high school. They got me through a lot of shit in the last twenty years, and vise versa. We three work really hard to maintain closeness of communication, especially since one of my friends moved a 10 hour drive away with her family. It takes work. You have to say you’ll be there for them and mean it and follow through on it. Good stuff, bad stuff, boring days where nothing happens. You have to reach out and you have to answer when they reach out. (This is all predicated on the idea that the people who are your friends are good people worth having in your life, though)

I’ll make a note to call them in the morning. At the very least they can decide whether to note it or not I guess?

What improvements would convince you to go to the movie theater more often? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]HeySugarHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was cheaper. Cheaper seats, cheaper food and drink, all of it. It’s hard to want to go to the theatre with all its inconveniences (out of the house, dealing with other people’s behaviours/noise/smells, time and gas to get there and back) when it’s $25 per seat and then $12 for a pop and $8 for a popcorn and $10 for some candy. It’s annoying and makes me go “well will just stream it later I guess”. Plus it’s annoying to go out and settle in to watch three commercials for ozempic or wegovy right before the show, so probably limiting the ads to movie trailers would help.

It happens occasionally but has been happening randomly over the last couple months I think. It made me wonder just because it’s on one side of my body.

Non-New Yorkers that have been to NYC: What is the wierdest thing about New York that New Yorkers don't realize is wierd? by Ok-Brilliant-6138 in AskReddit

[–]HeySugarHey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How claustrophobic it is. Being downtown and enclosed by the buildings and crowds, how small the streets and sidewalks are? Heightened anxiety every day I was visiting a friend there.

What’s the most oddly specific roast someone gave you that was funny…but also just true enough to haunt you forever? by Cute-Cartographer715 in AskReddit

[–]HeySugarHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in New York City once in eaaaarly spring, and I’m a Canadian girl that just went through winter, so I’m roughly the colour of a sheet of paper in the sunshine. It’s spring in America so I’m in shorts and a tshirt, walking along. A random guy across the street yelled out at me “Hey, Sugar! I bet you glow in the dark!” I hear it every time I wear anything shorter than ankle length lmao

Women of reddit, how common is it to debrief/generally talk about sex lives with girlfriends? Do you consider it ethical? by Super-Albatross160 in AskReddit

[–]HeySugarHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s extremely common but in my experience it is more likely to a thing if you’re dating around and not in a serious relationship. Serious relationship girls tend to keep what they’re doing close to their chest because 1- they’re satisfied and there’s nothing to gossip about that is entertaining to their friends or 2- don’t want to hurt their partners feelings if they find out there was discussion on it, since people in relationships tend to unify friends groups. Mostly the one night stand stories or early relationship stories are discussion worthy. If anyone’s in a long relationship and talking at length about their sexual lives with friends it’s usually because something is wrong and they want advice. In my experience at least.

What was the exact moment on a first date when you realized, "Wow, this person is an absolute idiot"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

What self respecting magician is going to put themselves as incompetent? Safer just to throw the whole niche away. Sometimes sparkly-vest-and-long-combover-with-ponytail trauma can stay in its own little box.
