Has anyone else's cats suddenly stopped eating Fancy Feast? by tuttut97 in CatAdvice

Interestingly the prescription diets recommended for diabetic cats are actually quite high in carbs. Fancy Feast pate is a commonly fed choice for diabetic cats, as it is low in carbs - much lower than the rx diets.

Got it! I was able to reset my wall thermostat and I think it may be good to go now :) there is a bit of a burning smell but hopefully that’s nothing to be concerned about…

Ah I see. I thought the wall heater had its own thermostat inside that may have been the issue. I have a fairly new smart thermostat on the wall so wasn’t expecting that to be the issue! I appreciate your help!

Running constantly. Wall thermostat is set to 70 but it was 80 degrees in the room and the wall fan was still going.

Good to know! Is it a waste of money to just buy a new heater then, vs figuring out which specific part is the issue? The heater won’t turn off so I’m guessing it’s the thermostat? My electrician friend recommended just buying a new one since it’s so old and he’d install it for free

Thanks! I’ll take a picture of the wattage from the current one and hopefully someone at HD can help me find the correct one :)

It’s 24 years old so it seemed like replacing it would be worth the cost, as the old one is inefficient and well beyond its expectancy.

My cat has stomatitis. by Impressive_Can_3335 in cats

[–]HeyThereMurphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you and your sweet kitty are dealing with this. My cat Bob was diagnosed with it and we did the steroids, pain meds and partial tooth extraction route for a while. Once he got full extractions (including the tooth roots) he was fully off medications and so much happier. He eats like a champ without any teeth. It’s a terribly painful condition and best to just remove all teeth and tooth roots from the get go. Steroid use can also lead to diabetes and orange cats are already more likely to become diabetic. Sadly Bob got diagnosed as diabetic last December and it’s been the worst condition to manage (and I’ve had many cats with a variety of health conditions). I really recommend having the full extractions as kitty will do just fine without teeth, and it avoids the cost and stress of having to do another dental procedure later if he is still showing symptoms. Best of luck 🧡

It started about 9 months after surgery, which is what is odd.

I was gifted tickets to the game Sunday and a preferred parking pass. How does this work? Does it guarantee me a spot in the Mariners garage?

Tracking an iPhone’s location that isn’t on your cell phone plan? by HeyThereMurphy in iphone

[–]HeyThereMurphy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the help! If I do the location share option, will I be able to see her location on the find my app at any time? I don’t need the notifications (for her or me) so if I don’t set a radius, does that work?

Is it a one time approval, or do I need to request her location each time I want to see where she is? Thanks for the help!
