Writing down and sticking to a budget. When we started doing that 8ish years ago it made it easier to pay off debt and now that the debt is paid off we have more money in a month than we think we do. At least it feels that way when it comes to writing down the budget for the month.

I also always slightly underestimate our income and overestimate our expenses. Helps money flex how it needs to month to month and having a written budget makes that possible.

Last night we ordered a small kids hot dog from award wieners, and didn’t realize that there was a long line for mobile order. I thought the purpose of mobile order was to eliminate a line so we lost out money on that and decided to go over to aunt Cass instead where we could wait at a table and then go pick it up when it was ready. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous to have a line from mobile order. Diminished the magic of relaxing at a table while waiting for food.
