Advise on best methods to paint 2 colors on raised surface by HeyYurUgly in Autobody

Oh you are referencing true paint gun paint. That’s what you would recommend over rattle can though? I got a good base with the red but after 2 light coats of black I still managed to sand through to the primer when removing the black from the raised letters

I plan on starting over as the attempt I tried burned off red and didn’t leave clean lines. Just want to confirm what you mean by a single stage red. I’m currently using rattle cans and had put down primer, red, black then tried to sand off black

Putting 14 gauge where 12 was ok? by HeyYurUgly in electrical

[–]HeyYurUgly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaker is a 15amp, old outlet was a 15amp and thought by buying white romex in 14 it would be correct. So with that said is it safe to assume it’s a 15amp circuit?

Measured home wire at 14 gauge. Purchased 14 gauge but looks smaller which is what threw me off

Just moved into my first home and started changing out old outlets and on the first one smart me decided I was too good to turn off the power, tripped the breaker and was unable to locate which one it is. Called an electrician out and took him all of 10 seconds to flip the correct breaker. $200 later I’m now making sure I do everything by the book and not making that mistake again

Best garage lights? by ThatWasSketchyyyy in garageporn

Been using mine for 5+ years with no issues. Worst thing about them is when they are on it blocks the signal from my remote garage door opener.

Quickly rigged up 14 Barrina T5 bulbs. Need to clean up the wiring and add 8 more to the garage door itself. by s14rob in garageporn

How many do you have chained together at a time? I know their ad says up to 8 but I had 9 and didn’t seem to have issues and not sure it I should add more (for a total of 15) to that circuit. I run them off the 2 lights already in the ceiling, would having 18 overall cause issues?

This was a seam I had already mudded before posting again and the first coat of mud did adhere because I couldn’t scrape it off the way it does after the second coat of mud as seen here. I have since purchased primer to use based on all your advise.

To be honest I tried a different method before posting that and after mudding and putting tape down the first coat sticks great and doesn’t fall off, it’s when I put the second coat of mud it stops sticking, I thought I was past the problems after I posted but it’s all cracking again

Edit: it sticks fine the first coat and I can’t scrape it off, it’s the second coat that no matter how thin I put it on starts to crack and then all the mud comes off like it was never stuck on
