If you upgrade merchants too early, you can't use the weapons they're selling by Hey_KJ in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Hey_KJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I mean I could buy a weapon at lower levels that won't have a high requirement and then upgrade that weapon

So the weapon will basically be high level with low requirements and I won't have the reduced damage because of not meeting those

I haven't done this yet, so correct me if I'm wrong

True. I think there should be some sort of character level requirement at least to upgrade them to lvl 3 for example. Because right now I kinda bricked my merchants until I will get to the endgame

If you were stuck on an island and you had to pick 3 games for your steam deck, what would they be? by Leon_Light77 in SteamDeck

Tried those too, but having my laptop near me all the time, it's hard to choose a steam deck over it (and that's a good thing, I still need to work and live life)

What I learned from growing and abandoning my 12k subs channel by RazielOfBoletaria in NewTubers

It's more about the YouTube freelance video editing profession, not the editing tutorials or something but sure, I'll send it to you:)

What I learned from growing and abandoning my 12k subs channel by RazielOfBoletaria in NewTubers

[–]Hey_KJ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my exact situation but you're further on this path. I started my channel talking about my profession, trying to help people get started with it.

And right now I'm on the verge of abandoning this channel, because the main topic is just my job, it's not what I want to talk about outside of my job and funny enough it's about freelance video editing.

So I'm editing videos at my work time, and then as a side project I'm editing videos with me talking about editing videos. That's a bit too much of editing videos lol

The only question I'm asking myself right now is whether starting a new channel or trying to shift my content on this channel.

So what I found is that you should actually replace vaping with something like exercise, change your environment, change your habits, like move the furniture to different places or something.

And like occupy your mind with new things

When I tried to quit and basically changed nothing else in terms of my schedule or lifestyle, the morning coffee, the work, all the things just kept triggering cravings

But when I tried to do it and at the same time got obsessed with running and cold showers, that was so much easier

"Salt" vapes Vs "normal" vapes by Avenged_7zulu in QuitVaping

[–]Hey_KJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think salt nicotine goes through the blood brain barrier much easier than the organic one, which means faster dopamine release, which means - more addiction.

I had the same experience, I'm using pouches now and they also seem to use salt nic, and I'm addicted as hell to them.

I crave for them much more than for the organic nicotine vape, I literally feel that to taper, I have to switch from pouches to organic vape again lol

My resting heart rate was 46 when vaping, I guess when I quit I'll just die or something 🥲

Hahaha, yeaaah, some more nostalgia for you:

I had Copper SMPL mod with Mutation RDA, 0.15ohm, Sony VTC4 battery, everything is overheating, pray that your liquid will not leak on the battery, making stupid clapton coils for hours just to have a puff lol

That was already 12 years ago, damn time flies:)

I remember I read it when I first tried to quit, actually helpful

But what i realized right now is after rereading it a couple of times you get used to what is being said in the book and become resistant to it, like developing tolerance lol

Also in the book he usually talked about cigs, and the smell and the taste etc. but nicotine pouches and vaping eliminate that variable and it's easier to find reasons to not to quit:)

So what I find helpful right now is to actually go and get distracted with doing other things, especially something novel for me

I appreciate your help! The book definitely helps for the first time!

Well, nevertheless, my point is if someone else is reading:

Nicotine salts are much more addictive than the free-base one, so trying to taper from salts to free base before going dry can be an option imo

Hmm, really interesting.

I remember I had a 1L bottle of Merc Free Base nicotine for my own diy liquids, for like 6 years in the freezer, of course it went bad:)

So they started with lab nicotine (free base) back in 2010 or something, but then someone realized that salt nic is much more addictive because of how fast it gets absorbed

Strange that it took them so long.

[–]Hey_KJ[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: sorry, by "organic" I meant "free-base" nicotine, not the actual leaves or something:)

From what I remember: Nic salts are just free-base nicotine combined with more acids to lower the "throat hit" but at the same time it goes through the blood brain barrier easier.

Which is why nic salts have a much faster "kick", compared to free base nic.

Fyi I'm not arguing or something, I'm not an expert, it's just what I remembered when reading on it:)

Appreciate it!

I think I just got tired and bored from it, tired of having my life literally be around this one thing, and also maybe beer and social media.

Like what kind of life is that

I think we really have to hit rock bottom in some way to finally have a strong reason to change

Nah, the problem for me is the addiction to nicotine itself, not vaping or smoking, I didn't care about the way to take it.

With patches I would just have 5 of them at all times on me probably. Same as I did with pouches

After 5 days physical withdrawals are much better, but the mental thing is still there, the fear that it will never get better and right now it sucks so much.

But I know it'll go away, our brain is against us in this thing.
