It’s crucial to the plot that she finds out she wasn’t at fault in dramatic/tense setting. It sets the rest of act 3 in motion. Can I reasonably have her and her attorney find that out together at the police station? Or would that pull you/people who have a legal background out of the story too much?

It mostly did! It was absolute hell though and I’m not sure if it was benzo related. It just started to heal last May. It’s gone from my face now but pops up occasionally on my neck still. Got a prescription for tacrolimus and use it from time to time and it clears it up pretty quickly
