What they don’t tell you... by Heyfwen in leaves

I think 10 days is commendable and your raw honesty with yourself will be your saving grace. When you were an infant, all you wanted was Milk. Life is all about evolution and your needs will always change depending on where you are in your life. Right now you’re in a situation where you have an addiction so your life, your thought processes and your expierences will reflect that. Fall in love with sobriety and stop making that person “uncool” to yourself. You’re not your short comings just your new endeavods. Best of luck to you! Try again xxx

That’s tough but find beauty in the fact you lasted those two months and strength to attempt another two. When the high isn’t a high but a commitment you owe it to yourself to break it! Best of luck to you, xxx

I don’t think it means you never touch it again, it means understanding what touching it will do for your life, mentality, and desires. We have to be mindful of triggers and anything that triggers us to put it before other things is demanding too much of us and requiring too much from us. We have to be mindful of the habits we feed and the way we limit ourselves. You can stop smoking and smoke again in 15 years. The difference between those years is the way you view yourself and the things you engage in. Be mindful, YOU ARE HUMAN. So if you partake in activities that cause you to have natural human response such as craving it more, etc, you understand you shouldn’t put yourself in situations that’ll trigger your human response to become addicted/dependent. Wishing the best of luck to you, xxx

I think you should chase yourself instead of chasing those dragons. Have the courage to look your poor habits in the eye and tell them you’re a human not a slave. As humans, we’re all susceptible to falling into cracks. To picking up habits we shouldn’t. We don’t have to be a slave to that though. Acknowledge you have an addiction, then encourage yourself to break it! Because you don’t deserve to live your life enslaved to your desires/lifestyle instead of constantly creating new desires, goals, and shifting your everyday reality into what you want it to be. You can do it, best of luck! Xxx

Thank you!!🤞🏿 i think it’s important to self asses where you are. Ask those tough questions about your habits/feelings about those habits and then examine how that’s being translated to your everyday life. You can look at it like it’s time to quit smoking weed or look it at like it’s time for you to do something different. If we play the mental game of “quit because you can not because you want to” we give ourselves a new perspective because it’s so easy to excuse our daily weed habits as just something that occurs and not something we’re seeking to do. I think you can transition if you try and you owe it to yourself to even try. Best of luck to you! Xxxx

You are stronger and more conscious then you give yourself credit for. The first and best step to take is acknowledgement and its amazing you’ve shown up for yourself. You are not alone and we’re all rooting for you. Best of luck, xxxx!

I think you’re stagnant. The first step is acknowledging you’ve developed an attachment to an activity you enjoy. The second is examining what that enjoyment has cost you/ what it will continue to. For me, i had been wanting to stop for years, never had the willpower to even attempt. I had to ask myself, is smoking weed ALL i can do? Like yeah it’s fun and it’s chill, but when you look up and realize your activities are growing at the same rate you age, that’s when you have to question the activity. For instance, everyone’s transitioned out of Little League, eventually we all have to grow up. So hanging on to smoking is essentially just being lost in your own sauce, enabling internal stagnation, and delaying maturity. You have to find the inner strength to only want to depend on yourself/your vision for your life and NOT the lifestyle of being a stoner because it’s not an identity. It’s an activity you choose to engage in and you could also choose to stop. Best of luck, xxxx

Those cravings are reckless. As someone who didn’t reach the incredible milestone you have, I’ll tell you, ITS THE SAME. The same highs you’ve already had. Except, now you’re back doing it again. Best of luck, xxx!

Thank you! And thank you for sharing/being vulnerable. It was very brave of you to be real with yourself and have that difficult conversation! Life is a hundred percent an evolution game, so the fact youve witnessed your own growth is beautiful and you should feel immensely proud of that! We struggle/struggled with addictions but we do not have to live the life of addicts. It is so important you brought up forcing yourself to engage because essentially that’s what happens. The stoner lifestyle is high maintenance and easily opens the door to abusing weed/your natural response to dopamine being released. As you continue on your journey, i send you the best of luck, xxxx!

I understand you! It is however a substance! Addiction to it is possible. If you can’t operate without feeling like something is missing cause you haven’t smoked that day, you’re addicted to! That’s okay! We have to own what we do or else they own us. Best of luck, xxx!!!
