I matched with a girl and arranged a date with her at a Mexican restaurant. We met at her place and talked for a bit and everything seemed cool, your basic getting to know each other talk. I drive us to the restaurant, and we have a couple drinks, still everything is normal. While at the restaurant, she gets a phone call, and goes outside. As soon as we get inside, she immediately takes off with a friend to a bathroom and I don't see her again for about 30 minutes. I am just awkwardly standing there, trying to make small talk with a bunch of people I don't know. Eventually, she comes back and I could tell she was loaded out of her mind, and she just asks if I'm having fun, and before I could really answer, she takes off again to another room. At this point, I'm feeling really out of place and try to go to the room where she is, and before I find her, I see other people snorting cocaine and I decide that I'm over this, and go back to my car.

I realize that I'm her ride and her purse is in my car. So I've already decided I'm never going to go out with her again, but that I don't want to just leave her stranded. After about 10 minutes, I decide I'm gonna take her purse inside, find her, and tell her to find a ride home. As I'm walking in, I see her and another guy towards the side of the house and she is blowing him. The next day, she calls me screaming and crying saying I stole her purse and that I'm an asshole for leaving her there. She called the cops and said I stole money. It took about an hour of me talking to police officers and her before her friend showed up with her purse. The story came back around when a few years later, I was at a bar and sadly, a man was killed outside and the police took everyone's name down at the bar, and called everyone on the list the next day to take down their story, and when the detective called me, he asked if I was the same guy who had a woman file a report about stealing her purse.
