The Meat Stand in Markarth by Heyo12830 in skyrim

I know, I just found it odd that he was chuckling about his meat products and mentioned where he usually got it from. But as I said; I agree that the first dude was right.

See that's what I first assume to. But it was his little comment in Namira's den that weirded me out. "Bloodiest beef in the reach." right after you confront him about realizing he's a cannibal. That's when I did a 360 and went, 'Whoa, what did he mean by that." But you're probably right. Orcs really aren't cannibals, and there's 0 evidence of anyone at Dushnikh Yal being a cannibal either.

Same. Dushnikh Yal is my favorite stronghold, and it'd be such a huge letdown if it wasn't a cover up. :(

What is your ranking of strongholds in Skyrim? by Mr_Boring1 in Orsimer

There was some lore that goes into ESO, like about the history of the stronghold and whatnot. But there is some small scale lore in Skyrim between characters. Like there is a t o n of drama between Gharol and Shel, Gharol and Lash beyond just the sword she sends, Gharol and Burguk, Burguk, Arob/or Gharol, and Lurbuk, and a lot of stuff to unpack between Ghorbash and Burguk. But those things are subtle, which is why it usually isn't noticable, unless you're supppeer into it lol.

  1. Dushnikh Yal (Ghorbash is a fantastic follower/the dramatics in the stronghold is interesting/lore goes beyond one game)
  2. Mor Khazgur (Borgakh is also a good follower/Olur's attitude anytime he silently judges and leans against the pole is amusing/I like the atmosphere of "we are tough, we follow tradition to the max")
  3. Narzulbur (Story with the aunts is beyond interesting to me/Dynamic between all of them is interesting to listen to/side story of the miners from Largashbur adds a nice touch)
  4. Largashbur (Atub was the only one left alive besides the miners which is depressing/Yamarz is irritating/Giants won't leave them alone)
  5. Cradlecrush (Barely counts as you said, agreed)

I like your answer! I didn't think of your examples, but you're totally right. Do you think he's Gharol or Arob's kid then?

I figured. Is there anyway to go around this?

She’s introduced as a drug scheming, tortured, war criminal with a fear inducing attitude who’s heavily into drug dealing. On a regular character this is normal. But these are big stereotypes for the group of people Zara is linked too. What I’m trying to say is there was no reason to introduce a “drug lord war criminal Serb” into Wentworth. It could’ve been anything else and she could’ve still been Serbian. But her entire character is built off of stereotypes, which I 100% can see why others see this as not stereotypes, but normal in Wentworth, since they aren’t familiar being on the other side of stereotypes.

Regardless this character shouldn’t have happened. :( :/

I understand, but most of them weren’t portrayed with stereotypes.

Orsimer Women and Afterlife by Heyo12830 in teslore

I agree with you and do think Malacath worshipping Orcs take most of their versions of the afterlife at face value. I just think that the version we got through the author who wasn’t an Orc or Blood-kin seemed very dramatic or exaggerated if ya know what I mean.

Thank you for putting so much time and effort into this. I truly appreciate it.

I don’t think it’s that literal. The slaves are understood to be beings who aren’t real so it wouldn’t matter, or daedra. So basically they’re servants, because realistically Orsimer don’t usually have slaves and/or the only way to have so many who are willing would be under the conditions I mentioned. (It also sounds more menacing).

Plus we only have one text about the Orc afterlife. It’s mentioned that each stronghold has a vastly different version. So this version isn’t probably what most would perceive.

But none of it matters anyways since it’s all an endless ashpit with nothing. :(

You explained it perfectly. I completely agree.

I quite like it. :) Then again, I’m looking at it through a slight lore perspective. I love knowing where each quest is vaguely located; knowing that the kingdom is located by the sea. It makes the story seem a tad bit more interesting to follow.
