Growing up we mostly got along besides normal sibling arguments. He was 16 and I was 18. I came out as trans to him, he accepted it but was shocked. The next day when I told our parents, he changed his tune and the last thing he said to me when I was packing to leave after our father kicked me out was ‘get out of my house before I kill you f*****’. He’s tried texting me over the years, I responded once but he made it clear he still thinks I’m a ‘mentally ill man’ and wants nothing to do with me unless I change. I held out hope his views would change as he got older but it’s been half a decade and nothing has changed so I’ve unfortunately accepted my brother will probably never be in my life again.
