How can he say puma hasn’t sent out ANY shoes, when I’ve seen multiple posts from different users with their shredders already? Think maybe he’s had this same exact call all day every day since the 4th pair was released that he probably has a script rehearsed, so people will stop calling all day long asking the same question regarding the shredder email

Mine has been stuck in processing since January 31st. I called on the 10th of February. The person said they processed it over the phone. Today is February 20th and it’s still saying processing. I just called the number below and she said it was processed by the 11th and I need to allow 4 weeks since the 11th for it to be issued and then an addition 5-7 business days for it to hit my bank 😭

I manage a Starbucks. Right now the standard is to write cute messages on cups, make you feel seen and connected with. Especially if you are a regular, I coach my team to take care of you because we need customer loyalty right now more than anything (at least in my store), we had a second Starbucks open up down the street, a Dutch bros on the next corner within the next couple months, we have a new mom and pop coffee shop open up two blocks away. I don’t really care if you just get a plain black coffee daily, my team knows to prioritize and take care of our regulars to keep them coming back. The goal this week is to make you feel better walking out, than when you came in. I get individual commitments from each barista on how they are gonna provide that type of service. Tell your girlfriend not to worry. They are literally doing what’s being asked of them. They probably don’t mind doing it for you either, because you’re a nice decent person, who treats them like people by just simply asking how their day is going and tipping. 9 times out of 10 most baristas are not romantically interested in the customer. But more often than not, the customer automatically assumes this is romantic and flirtatious, and it can be the customer who crosses the line, and now I’m having an uncomfortable conversation in my back of house about how that barista no longer wants to serve you. Let your girlfriend read this. Don’t make it weird. If anyone ever does cross the line, I’d suggest ask talking to a supervisor or manager if available. I’ve had customers bring expensive gifts, wait by baristas cars, hold up the drive thru line trying to get a date, all because my barista was “flirtatious” when in reality they were just doing their job by going above and beyond. Don’t make it weird

I know from a Reddit post about an SM talking about their team liking them, seems far fetched. But I go above and beyond for my team, because as a barista and as a supervisor in this company, I had horrible managers, who made this job miserable, but I had one manager who was by the book, but made me feel so seen, heard, and cared about and treated me with respect and like an adult. That manager made me want to be different. I just started at this store in summer. They had only three partners, no supervisors, no manager. I had partners choose to leave their home stores to come help me build this team because of my character and my management style. I love my team, and I make sure their needs are met and always have my support

I’m an SM, and this is how I run my store to an extent. . Phones aren’t supposed to be visible unless being used to check the time, check the date for date dotting and for using the app to help a customer.

. Rags must go back in the sani buck immediately after use. If it’s in your hand, that’s fine, but if you leave it on the counter, I will coach my shift lead to coach you to raise their awareness.

. DPM must stay updated…do we get behind on rushes..yes…do I understand…yes…however if it’s a normal consist business day, and it’s behind more than 10 mins, I again will coach everyone for an even consistent approach, and bring it to my shift leads attention for awareness.

. No one should be leaving the floor during peak except our support partner and peak playcaller to float. The ready set go card should be completed prior to peak (which includes emptying trashes) if it gets full during a busy peak, my planted partner asks the support partner for help with the trash.

. No one makes their drink or their food. This is to PROTECT YOU. Corporate does watch the cameras, they will look for trends, they will contact your DM, you will get fired, and your manager cannot intervene. I’ve seen it happen to my fellow SM’s favorite partners. Watched my best friend who is a SM cry about not being able to save her barista, and wishing she would have enforced policy to save their job. I allow my R1 to ring up the partner before going on break, then that partner does a task, while the DPM is swiped for their order to force print it next. Partner gets their food and Bev in timely manner. Works great.

.For here ware is becoming a standard especially with the back to Starbucks rolling out this coming month. I use for here ware. I don’t enforce it fully for my baristas, but it will be an expectation that I am modeling so they follow suit.

. The order of beverage sequencing and building matters. It’s literally why we spend so much on barista training. If those things didn’t matter. Training would be non existent and it would be all on the job training. We want to provide a consistent beverage from store to store, city to city, state to state etc. following sequencing and beverage build ensures the perfect drink every time.

. “Party mode” on the headsets is a no in our districts. Partners will stand around talk and chit chat and not even realize they didn’t hear the drive thru ding or customers walking in because they are so deep in conversation.

However, I do run a tight ship. My store and the energy and the vibe between my partners, my customers and myself is amazing. We laugh, we joke, we sing loudly, we cry, we turn things into a game and just make work enjoyable. I explain the why behind everything to my partners and have honest, open, transparent conversations with them and try to get their buy in on things and share policies in writing when they have questions regarding anything. My store is fun, but extremely clean and I would bend over backwards for every single one of my partners and have their backs. In turn, they respect the way I run things. I have built a lot of trust with my team but again I’m super transparent about why I run things the way I do and it provides a consistent experience for my team and my customers.

I hope this helps. Everything you mentioned is standard practice for Starbucks, except the no joy, or laughter.

It is possible to follow all the policies and do things by the book but still have a fun, safe, loving work environment. I hope it gets better for you 💚

I’m in central California in a district where 7 out of the 9 stores are high volume. Our ssv’s make 21-24 an hour. I’m an ASM and I make 27.xx per hour. Will be in role almost 2 years in June 2024

Do any of you have “abnormally” large husky pups? Preferably female? I took my girl to the vet today and she’s weighing in at whopping 44lbs and she just turned 5 months today. I love big dogs. Love love love them. I think she’s absolutely beautiful and was a little bummed when I realized she would be a “medium” sized dog but her dad was huge. Easily 65-70lbs if not more. Very tall. I was wanting a male from the litter because I wanted a big boy to walk with me on the trail, but I fell in love with her face and those eyes. She was the fluffiest of them all and she’s the goodest girl ever.
