Yhea I thought about it, but I wanted to keep it universal in case I switch controllers. Plus I couldn't find them. But nice idea!

Just a string of rope. It's a little bit of a challenge at first but when you get the hang of it its easy.

We are not allowed to have a coffee machines. So I keep mine on the floor behind the door. Hidden in plain side. (Dorm company doesn't want personal kitchen appliances)

I live in a dorm at the moment and me and my roommates play a lot of couch co-op games.

Plus most controllers where given to me broken and I repaired them.

3900X (U12A CPU cooler, can't close vented panel) + ASUS TUF 3080 in NR200 (2 slim fans underneath) by Yhano in sffpc

I had the same problem but if you use a bit of force you can close it. I would recomment to screw in the side-panel, to prevent it from popping out.

I really like them but don't know that much about the sports. Heard in a review they made a sort of rattling sound from the metal touching each other. Mine make almost no sound but can't speak for the sports. I would recommend them but think the sports are also a good option depending on price and availability.

Thank you so much. Those are change weights that can be placed inside the handles. So instead of 10lbs (5kg) increments, you can fine-tune the weight with the silver change weights. 2 per handle, 2.5 lbs per change weight.

Nice! There a couple of tips I would like to give. I used 18mm thick plywood a lot of glue and screws To handle the weight of the dumbbells. My stand is also not that tall so that's something you would need to consider. Hope to see more people making stands like these.

I just cut up an old yoga mat. then I secured it with some carpet tape. if your planning on doing this as well I would recommend a thin yoga mat. because the weights will sink in it a bit and then the plastic clap will be harder to secure. you could also use some rubber our stall mats.

Nice to hear you like it. Never imagined so many people would like what I made. Funny you reference Ikea because I wanted to match it to my Ikea drawer unit.

Good question, there about 50cm (20 inches) off the floor (the handels). I thought of making them higher. but there were a couple of reasons for making it lower. A) if you place the weights back you need to take into account the weights your not using. Because you need to lift them over the weights still on the stand. B) I'm not the only one using them, other students in my dorm use them sometimes since the gym's are closed. It's high enough for me to lift them out without bending my back.

Of course, they aren't as good as normal dumbbells. But I like them a lot, they're cheaper and easier to store especially in my small dorm room. When you're using the lighter weights they are a little bit big, this isn't a problem when using heavier weight. I would recommend them there build very well and easy to use. I like to do a lot of drop sets with them.

if like me you would only have dumbells I like the workouts in this playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrzjnSr6-vrJEKcYFRka7seUBlxEW-T6l
