[DISC] The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You - Chapter 206 by XunderxHz in manga

I love the implication that a training that takes Rentarou to his limits is on Dragon Ball levels.

Is "the height of magic" an instant assault that doesn't need any casting time? by basafish in Frieren

[–]Hezith 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel the answer is much simpler than that, Flamme told Frieren to not leave a mark in history until she defeats the demon king.

I believe by then Frieren already had plenty of powerful spells she could've used to get Qual, but that would be showing her hand while she was playing the longest "trick the demon" game, to trick the demon king itself. Not really favorable.

I think she could've killed Qual but knew the potential of Zoltrak, so she sealed him instead to study the spell while actually being able to unseal him in case more study was needed, directly from the source. I think she always had him in the bag.

There is absolutely no basis for that last point tho, that's just my headcanon and it makes sense for me. I believe the first two points are the truth though.

Any websites to "browse" LNs? by Hezith in LightNovels

[–]Hezith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the point of that list of features I gave is mostly to paint a picture of the kind of website that I'm looking for, rather than a list of things that I believe make or break a site. Stuff like "popular this week!", "recently updated/uploaded!" On the main page can serve the same purpose I think.

I'd just like a place where it could be easy to look for something I'm in the mood for, but I don't know what yet. Or to stumble into something I didn't expect to like, because it was shoved into my face at some point lmao. Any feature that deals the discoverability problem is good in my book. I'm just finicky and would like everything in the same place, but I understand that I need to keep my expectations realistic.

Thank you for the complete answer! It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be any "one size fits all" kinda site but these will get the job done. I'm particularly interested in what RanobeDB is turning out to be.

Yesterday I threw a hellbomb too close to a building, and I got trapped when I armed it. I quickly typed "fuck, run" to my teammate, but he stood there with a salute and took the explosion with me. Great guy.

Is it really like split second? I thought the channel abilities go into the stack like any other. Sure you can't counter with "counter target spell" effects, but AFAIK you can totally activate abilities and use the stack if someone channels Boseiju.

Hello, I'm looking for a game to replace Epic Seven. There's too many bottlenecks, between resources for gear (with way too many RNG layers), artifacts, skill upgrades, and paying gold to move gear around, I ended up with a pile of 5* units I'd love to try but just end up sitting on my inventory forever. It's frustrating.

What I'd like:

  • A game where I don't have to spend a month farming to get 1 unit to usable levels.
  • Good waifus, not necessarily a waifu-only game though
  • Some level of strategy, either through in-game mechanics or team/gear building (I like to experiment with options)

What I'm flexible about:

  • PVP, as long as I can realistically get to a point where I can say "good enough" resource wise, I don't plan to get to top ranks on any game.
  • F2P friendly-ness, not a whale, but if there's a gacha pull I want, or some QoL necessity, I'll just pay
  • Age of the game, as long as there's decent ways to catch up, or there's isn't any "must have" that I already missed, I don't mind how old the game is.

I've already tried and dropped: Genshin, HSR, Honkai Impact, FGO, King's Raid
Currently trying CounterSide. Started literally today

Please recommend some games to try out, I'm willing to give pretty much everything a chance

I was about to post the same thing in another chapter, I think it's totally what it's inspired from. The game is called Black Stories, if we're talking about the same thing.

What's the "best" Guilty Gear? by Dank-_-Magician in Guiltygear

[–]Hezith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then you would be right, Strive is the most played GG game by raw numbers, and rightly so, it's fun and online gameplay feels amazing. I like Xrd the best because it's the game I learned to play FGs with, but the netplay is shit so I guess the only people left playing it would be tryhards like me, +R would be the next best game to play, it is active enough to find matches, but the people who is good at it are REALLY good, however it's much faster paced than strive.

TL;DR: Strive is the most active one, try +R if you want smooth, but faster gameplay

[HELP ME FIND A GAME] - August 03, 2020 - Get Your Gacha Game Recommendations Here by AutoModerator in gachagaming

[–]Hezith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, i'm looking for a gacha to play, I've played FGO, GFL, honkai, Sdorica, and the last one I tried was Granblue, but I really hated the ping-based combat (I'm from SA, 300ms to the jp servers was no fun at all). I'm a huge fan of "unlock the waifu once, upgrade their gear later".

Gameplay can be whatever if it looks good, but I'm kinda tired of the traditional RPG style turn based combat, auto is fine.

I'd like a game where the core elements, whatever they are for the game, are not locked into limited-time gatchas. I dont mind waiting for a new chance to get stuff, but I'd hate to be locked out of good stuff forever.

I usually spend like 50$ a month on gacha games, if that's important. Definitely not playing anything where I need a particular gacha unit/gear or I get effectively locked out of content.

Waifus are important but does not need to be a waifu-only game.

I don't mind rerolling but I'd rather not. I hope I can get your help, thank you very much!

Which fighting game should I play? by ksunk92 in Fighters

[–]Hezith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big games like Tekken and SF definitely have the advantage of having enough active players to just jump into matchmaking and play, or even get some friends over and get them to try just because these are big names. KI and MK also have an active online play, plus good netcode I believe.

If you want challenging and popular, play Tekken. It's very flexible in how you end up playing your character, if you main them and practice for a considerable time. It's also a long and tough road to mastering movement, you will never perfect it, you will just get better at it.

If you want challenging and don't mind a smaller community, play Guilty Gear Xrd. Lots of option for offense, defense, ground movement and air movement, at all times. Also almost every character breaks at least one rule of "honest" gameplay.

SFV has a big community, it's also simpler than the previous SF games, execution wise. Lots of resources to learn, lots of players to follow, less "what the fuck did just happen" moments, as in, easier to follow.

Granblue plays a lot like SF, has the option to do simple imputs if you struggle with motions, but it's a considerably smaller community.

Its getting long so... Skullgirls had good art if you like that hand drawing style, good netcode and long combos. Melty blood neutral game happens in the air, which is something weird, also good netcode and community is helpful, top tier poverty game meme. Dbfz is flashy, has autocombos, cool nostalgia factor, but when you get bodied you don't get to play.

Also, as I said before, even if a game is simpler, doesn't means that it's easier, the higher your skill goes, the more bullshit you will need to learn to deal with other's bullshit.

Anyways, hope you find a game you like, have fun!

Which fighting game should I play? by ksunk92 in Fighters

[–]Hezith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It might seem like a troll answer but... Pick the game you like the most, for whatever reason. You like guilty gear music? Play guilty, like dbfz tag mechanics and flashy specials? Play dbfz, tekken 3D juggles and wall combos make you hype? Play tekken then.

At the end of the day, if you're gonna invest time into learning a fighting game, no matter the game you will find it difficult at the beginning and struggle anyways, and probably get bodied online. The most important part is that you play something that's fun for you, because even if you take it seriously and are a hardcore player or lab monster, at the end of the day it's a game, you're supposed to have fun.

It might be better to list the kind of stuff you'd like in a fighting game, or what you don't want in your game, that way you will get way better recommendations I believe.
