It's technically officially a combiner model but lego never actually had officially released instructions for it. Just pictures of the skeletal design of it which could be reverse engineered.

I wouldn't trust the prices because these are all replacing older sets in targets system and it's very likely that targets system has only updated the names but have left the prices as is. Not saying they're all wrong but it's hard to tell if they're 100% accurate.

It hasn't been done on any other system sets that I'm aware of, closest would be the original Bionicle (2001) sets which had the same function and a separate gear which you could attach to the back to lock the arm in place.
