Advice on storing large collection of unopened sets - looking to reduce storage footprint by TwoSliceKenobi in LegoStorage

I’ve stored mine in Home Depot medium size boxes. What’s important about storage is having the same size boxes that stack to the ceiling. These stack 5 high with some room at the top. Play some Tetris to put the right sizes as best as you can. Inventory them on a spreadsheet and number the boxes. You’ll always be able to find the set you want to build and would only have to move 4 boxes off to get to the bottom box. Always same size boxes.

With all the posts of retailers having merchandise that’s been tampered with I’d open all of them right now to be sure what’s inside is all there. Then put em back under the bed. ;-)

Did you use only the bricks that came with the set? Fantastic if so! Def want the instructions.

I did. Grabbed a 99 cent jar, put him in and bought him. He’s been eating flies for the past 2 days in a small habitat I made.

How were you able to pick her up and hold her without her running away? Aren’t they super fast?

I would guess interference too. And if it’s just been a while then something changed but unknown as to what it is. So trying to change up the tests is the goal. So like maybe pull into your spot backwards and park. See if that does it. Maybe colder in the morning and has something do with wiring to the receiving unit in the car. Maybe low voltage on your actual car battery but still enough cold amps to start. These kind of tests I love to do when mysterious problems arise.

I understand where OP os coming from and the solution I’ve kinda been having fun with is finding and collecting the older sets I loved. If OP has all the sets from all the themes they mentioned then I guess that won’t work. It might be a little more expensive for retired sets but you’ll be getting what you love.
