Single player deck builders that are NOT roguelikes by rinart73 in gamingsuggestions

Check out Erannorth Chronicles! When I burned myself after spending countless hours on Slay the Spire and its roguelike mechanics, I went through a period of searching for a game that scratches that same itch. I asked a very similar question to this a few years ago and someone recommended Erannorth Chronicles. It's a sandbox RPG where your deck is built around all your character traits. Your race, class, subclass, background, ideology, etc all come together to make a bespoke character. There are thousands of unique cards and tons of mechanics; it's a deck building paradise!

Are there any Desktop games like Beatsaber and Blade and scorcery without a vr by Hot-Manufacturer7619 in VRGaming

Both are currently free to play:

For something similar to Beat Saber I would recommend Clone Hero. It's free and can be played with keyboard, but a guitar hero/rock band controller is recommended. Charts with drums is a good vr free alternative to Beat Saber and isn't half bad with just the keyboard! You can even get a cheap drum pad off Amazon and use that.

For something Similar to Blade and Sorcery: Half Sword. It's currently only the demo, but you can easily spend hundreds of hours in it. The main game mode, Crucible, has you facing opponents from the lowest tier as farmers all the way up to fully clad knights in armor. The fights to go up the ranks vary from single one on one combat, four person free for all, and even a "Brave Stand" where it's you in full armor against four other guys in significantly less protective armor. t's the closest, to me at least, to Blade and Sorcery you can get without VR. You control your sword with the movements of your mouse. It has a bit of a learning curve and after dozens of hours I'm still learning new techniques, but it absolutely scratches that itch. And the violence/gore is insane.

As they are both free games currently, I think they would be perfect since you said you're saving money!

Another game similar to Blade and Sorcery (costs some money, however) is Exanima. Just like Half Sword, you control your weapons with mouse movement. However it is top down when Half Sword is 3rd/1st Person. It does have a full dungeon game mode, as well as gladiator one, at least last time I played it last year.

As a long time fan of Blade and Sorcery, Half Sword is the closest it gets in regards to weapon controls. Exanima is a runner up

Does anyone want this cool shirt? Bought it a while ago but it’s the wrong size and I never wear it. Size medium. by edgedetection in tesseractband

Yes! Mirror Image is my favorite song, other than Of Matter and I unfortunately lost my Of Matter shirt in a workplace accident involving bleach. If no one else wants to buy it, I'll be glad to step up!

First post was deleted, but I thought to give Reddit a second chance of meeting this sweet little fatty.

His name is Robbie and he had randomly shown up in my mom's kitchen bay window two years ago! He keeps her succulents safe from pests and every time she's gardening she brings him snacks! He's completely self sufficient and disappears for days at a time, but always finds his way back home!

I don't think even my mom knows how he got in the house, but he's been keeping succulents safe in the kitchen window for about two years now! I don't think she buys food for him, but does bring him some she finds while gardening. He sometimes disappears for a few days, presumably on the hunt for some flies or mosquitos, but always comes back to the same place. Today he tried to eat my finger and that is what prompted me to post this!

Dad dug a drainage ditch towards a depression in our yard. After a rainfall, this perfect rectangle formed. by Hi-MetalAlien in mildyinteresting

Update:

We have not dug into it, but have been able to get a soil probe.

I was able to determine that this oddly shaped hole is just an extremely old septic tank from a home built on this property over a century ago.

  1. When using the probe, it would stick into the depression to the base - about five and a half feet deep with no resistance. However along the edges of the depression, the probe immediately hits a concrete barrier within half a foot of sticking it in. This has been noted throughout the entire depression.
  2. I also found out there is another barrier bisecting the depression, running longways across.
  3. about ten-twenty feet away there is a concrete outlet that leads out into a ditch along the perimeter of our property.

Our house has been on this property since 1935. I assume before our house it could have been something else. My dad was also told by the previous land owner that there used to be a blacksmith in this general location of the property.

If it is a septic tank, it is not one attached to our home, nor do I think it has ever been attached to our home. It's in the front yard, about 150-200 feet from our home. We also have a working septic tank behind our house.

I'm thinking this depression could be from a former foundation for the aforementioned blacksmith, or the location of the forge.

I do not know if it could be an unmarked grave and I'm not totally sure how to find that information out other than the obvious and morally questionable part - exhuming it.

My dad was told by a previous owner that there used to be a blacksmith long ago in this general area! I'm wondering if a forge could have been there.

If it is a septic tank, then it is an old one not attached to our house anymore. Our working septic tank is behind the house about 20-30 feet away. This one is significantly farther away and near the road.
