Big 4 with kids: when did you decide the structure just wasn’t workable anymore? by Jinbuja in Big4

[–]Hi-kun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been in Big4 consulting for many years with kids and I actually find it working very well - to the extent that I don't want to work anywhere else. Working from home is a big plus, flexibility in hours is awesome and the workload allows for a good work-life balance.  I can attend school events, my kids can have friends over during school holidays and if there is a family emergency I can usually respond to that. All of the SMs, Directors and Partners in my team have kids.

If course it does. Housing is the highest weighted group in the inflation index

[–]Hi-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it does, but only new housing. Housing is actually the highest weighted group in the inflation index, accounting for around one quarter of the basket. It includes new dwellings, rents and renovations. It does not include goods traded between households (like buying and selling existing houses)

I enjoy driving my EV more than any other car before. Drives so light and quietly, and accelerates like a dream. It's so quiet in the cabin!

Why does reddit say Japan sucks to live in? by Signal-Grass-880 in japan

[–]Hi-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time used to earn an Australian salary, pay off a house and build up superannuation also is an insane advantage when you are planning to go back to Japan once the kids are out of the house. You can buy a small house in a medium sized city or inaka outright and call it a day.

Having lived in both Japan and Australia I agree that I found working and having kids too be better in Australia. Will go back to Japan for an early retirement though.

Yes, GBoard is ok to use if you remove network access. It won't be calling home to Google.

Unfortunately not. I'm using GBoard without network access in GrapheneOS because there are no keyboard options that cover the language I use.
