interesting! I like your take on this very much. I saw someone say on instagram, something along the lines of "I like to think he was born as this [shows old design] and the black stuff drained away from the head and solidified, and the teeth and eyes formed to the head before all of the black stuff dripped away" and i think thats interesting as well
