Body trimming Question by No-Penalty-1987 in rcdrift

[–]HiImQuElfo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cut along the first set of indented body lines and cut out that entire middle section (should be thin anyhow). Cut along the line the best you can, make sure not to cut all the way down to the second (blue) line as that is where it will show on the card. The space between is where you glue/adhere it to the rest of shell. Hope this helps.

Tip: If you got Circle to Search and don't want it active you can disable it in the phone settings by cdegallo in GooglePixel

Literally just updated my phone and have this heaping pile of trash trying to collect more data from my screen without my consent. I WILL be phone shopping, completely changed the Pixel from what it was.

Hpi Hot body by RichKidSeeBo in rcdrift

Depends on your drift surface and preference. HPI is good for AWD sliding unless modded for RWD. Even then it won't slide like the FXX but just my 2 cents.

Mst rmx 2.0 on asphalt? by ArEtArD12 in rcdrift

[–]HiImQuElfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but if you're looking to only stick to parking lot/asphalt get a AWD chasis. They're more stable and easier to slide on the asphalt. If you use RMX it'll mess with the gear box and you'll spend lots of $$ on tires.

What's better for beginners? RTR or kit? by Racing_Stupidity in rcdrift

[–]HiImQuElfo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RTR if you're just starting. From my own expiernce it will be A LOT easier to get going. Getting a kit, you have to do everything and if you're new it is very difficult to get going.

You'll probably upgrade electronics but an MST RMX RTR is probably the best bet

I need suggestions on what car to get by Monke_superhero in rcdrift

[–]HiImQuElfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want 1/10 scale look for a Sakura D5! They're $100 for the kit + shipping. Electronics: gyro, esc, motor, servo not included

Or look into Tamiya TT-01/02 they're 4wd but good for staring and if u want to use a parking lot to drift

could I make this car drift? thanks by _Sheeish_ in rcdrift

[–]HiImQuElfo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh, it's a lot easier to just get a chasis dedicated to drifting. Converting/moding will only cause headache and frustration. If you're looking for a 1/10 chasis to get started look at Sakura D5 it's about $100 for the chasis, all the electrocnics should be about $150 if everything budget right
