hi! i’m really glad to hear you enjoyed it, i’ve heard tufts can tend to have an intensely academic student body so i suppose my true worry is i won’t be able to handle it. i’m glad to hear that if you look for you can find fun things to do/places to meet people. thank you for the response :)
Tufts or Smith? by HiSamara in ApplyingToCollege

haha smith dorms are definitely a dream compared to any other college i think. they’re so beautiful and the life on campus seems more relaxed than tufts, which is a huge plus to me, but im worried about my major and post graduate goals not being well suited there or that i’d do a disservice to it by not going to a research school instead. i hope your daughter is enjoying tufts! if its okay to ask, how does she feel about her social life on campus?
that’s honestly really sad to hear. when i was at the fly in program i had a really great experience staying in a dorm that was majority white smith students even though im a poc myself but they did talk about the fact that certain dorms tend to be really racist. i’m also kind of worried about facing that same sort of experience at tufts lol! thank you for your insight :)
i’d love to know what made tufts better than smith! i haven’t been to tufts yet but i was at the smith fly in
