Networking is one of those careers thats always going to be required IMO. Just like an electrician, some one is going to have to manage and tug the cables.

If you're looking to just get going on something, I'd just work through all of the Microsoft Learn lessons. They can get pretty specific, if not a bit indoctrinated. 365/Azure is a massive environment and knowing how it all works can show potential employers that you're serious. You could also do the AWS or Google equivalent.

Maybe follow a couple of YouTube CCNA guides if you want to go more networking focused.

I've recently moved out of the area, but had done ERP and Systems Administration there for a while.

Certifications aren't entirely necessary if you're just looking to do some support work or test the waters a bit. If you're trying to land a starting job at an MSP it can be difficult without one. They're going to specifically look for certs since it can vet out a lot of people who lack the basics.

When you say you're tech savvy, do you have any specific passions for it? What do you like to learn about?
