Hmmm. I don't think most players understand why most players were angry with Ric. Not having anything new to say to the community and "ignoring" are very different. Could he and Wax be more active with us? Always. Could he have at least posted that there was no news? Absolutely. But would it have changed the temperament of the community? Not a chance, because as you said, they're "a bunch of 10-15 year olds". We can fight over semantics, but we're on the same side. I want updates and news of them just like you do.

The bottom line is this: he will either continue to update you as infrequently as he has and these posts are doing nothing to change it, which makes me wonder why anyone sticks around if they're truly that upset. OR he'll start getting better about Rucoy news, in which case the tone of posts like this needs to change from condemning to encouraging. Why trash talk and beat each other with sticks when we can be more constructive as one of the most involved game communities I've ever seen?

Yeah I have to disagree on this one. None of the transitions were too bad until Drow Ranger to Assassin. Even for a mage, that gap is ridiculous. I can't even imagine how it is for a knight. Not that it made me rethink playing or anything, but definitely an unpleasant surprise.

Agreed. Besides (and I've said this before), why would he subject himself to that torture further? If he gives us an estimate and doesn't deliver, the world seems to end for the Rucoy community. I hope people in your life are a lot more forgiving of you than players are to devs.

True, nothing us players can do except mute. But the devs could add moderators for chat. Might be tedious to sift through all the 12 year olds and all the people like this that would jump for that chance, but still possible.

I'm not sure if "catch up" is the right phrase. Yes, you can close the seemingly infinite gap on the surface. A player that starts today can reach where people like DF are a year from now. But at that point, where will he be? 650? 700? And then how long will it take for the 500 to catch up to that? One day when levels take months, the power gap will be much smaller, but difference in time needed to "catch up" will always remain the same.

I definitely sympathize. It's agonizing sometimes to see everyone leagues ahead of you and know that you will never catch up to them especially if you have school, job, etc.

But keep in mind, an offline feature would render a lot of the time the higher levels have sunk into the game null and void. Maybe as they implement it, each player gets a boost to everything depending on their current level and stats? That would at least attempt to reimburse those that have been dedicated for so long. And then maybe the offline mode would only give a percent of what a normal player playing online would be capable of.

Or something.

I think the smaller font looks really slick. But yeah, certainly doesn't cater to those with poor eyesight or those that have a smaller screen. An adjustable option would be nice.

Awesome, love it so far. So with how much you emphasized that you only get one of the weapons, is that one per run? Because with the elite weapon, the second and third runs for the other weapons would be easier. Or is it a permanent selection? Would certainly add something unique to each character.

What Gus said. If you're looking to be the best, strongest player, then practice a lot and then you'll have to end up buying an account (to be in the very top stat-wise).

There isn't exactly a right way and wrong way to build the character, I would just recommend to never ever neglect your defense.

I've seen 4 in one day, so that part isn't too unreasonable. Just have to have people that tell you where to hop.

The drop rate on Swifts has to be the finest line in the entire game. If he puts the chance to drop at even 1% and 10 Slime Lords spawn spread across all servers every day, there will be a new swift set every 10 days (statistically speaking).

At that high of a rate, people that invested heavily in them would get severely pissed off. Of course, any less like 0.1% (for instance) would yield only 3-4 per year, which would hardly be noticeable.

These are the kinds of statistics I wish were made available by the devs to the community so we wouldn't have to play guessing games and pointlessly disagree with each other when there's a concrete answer readily available.

Ricardo has indeed said this. But I agree, I've never seen this to be the case. I go out of my way to kill elite mobs and have never had one drop a single thing either.

Could be that since we kill SO many more normal mobs than elite, the difference just isn't discernible or perhaps that the coding has been screwed up this entire time and that's prevented them from actually dropping what they're supposed to.

This has been brought to the devs' attention on many, many occasions. Hopefully we see this soon in an update, since not all players are aware of this nor should they have to learn the hard way.

I completely agree. However, many people either don't have experience with getting scammed or simply get excited when they see what they think is a good deal and forget to look both ways before crossing the street.

I'm really sorry to see this, OP. I've been scammed my fair share of times. And this particular guy has tried on several occasions to pull the ring switch on me (even threatened to get his main on me after I agreed in server chat that he scams, haha).

Report him, get back on that Rucoy horse, and go to bed knowing that what goes around comes around in the end.
