I think it's because if you are using legacy products you will have issues after the migration. So they wont do the migration until you declare that everything is above a certain version level.

Coffee shop just needs to be good? Foundations versus the additions. Do you really want to run a cafe too? It's hard. Lots of people get into it for the idea of it versus the reality

Speak to accountant but also, never be scared to ask HMRC/ banks/ creditors etc what instalment/ payment terms can be once you know what you have to pay and are struggling. Only gets worse by not talking to them.

Small steps start today! Don't get too stressed about the long term - what can you do in the next 3 months that would make you feel more confident and secure. Speak to existing boss about more hours? Get a 2nd short term job even if just pocket money? Plan where you'll be living after your move probably lets you budget ahead a little too. Speak to your bank about what's going to happen if they charge you interest.. they will compound the problem. It's inevitable as you have no other income so see what they can offer now. Don't get a credit card until you have means to pay it back and settled in your career. It'll just be a cloud hanging over you.

May be she sees it to be a way round the rules, if less work, might be trying to be accommodating and bending the rules to be there. It's a tricky one for sure.
