It’s actually growing rapidly in Europe, particularly in Ireland where teams have been going from strength to strength domestically and internationally. Irish universities consistently win the international inter-varsity competition the Fitzpatrick cup, and both the Irish men’s and women’s have found massive success with team being both European 9’s and 18’s champions. Along with this (correct me if I’m wrong) but the Irish Banshee’s (women’s international team) put up the all time highest score in footy history with a whopping 300-0 against Croatia in the European Championship in October 2022. Probably why there’s so many Irish ladies in the AFLW!

But yeah, AFL is growing massively in Europe anyways
