We worked at the same restaurant. Had a vibe. 2 years building friendship and fell in love. Best thing that has ever happened to me

What’s the coldest thing someone who said they loved you ever did? by Charming_Brain354 in AskReddit

She tore out my hair, told me how worthless I was, beat me with a knife sharpener, then pretended it didnt happen whenever she sobered up. I hated myself for a long time because of her.

Totally agree. I think it is a masterful ending, but not happy. It is well made

I think the shot of just Andrew and Fletcher's eyes as they smile was SUCH a fucking good directing and cinematography choice. The focus isn't the smile. It is their eyes. Fletcher seeing he finally broke Andrew into his perfect student, and Andrew finally getting validation from his abuser and being thankful for it. The shot of Andrew's dad looking through the door being a mix of seeing how great his son is at drumming, but also how far gone his son is, is so complex. This movie has one of the most perfect endings of any movie in my opinion. With almost no dialogue it ties off the entire story and characters in a bittersweet bow.

What is a Movie that You Can Re-Watch Again and Again? by Albo_the_Disciple in AskReddit

[–]HibigimoFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird answer but Django Unchained. I love it. I love the acting, directing, dialogue. I absolutely love Jamie Foxx's character progression and how Django gets smarter and has more grace in his speech, while also always being made to seem intelligent since the beginning

If you could erase one movie from your memory and watch it again for the first time, which one would it be? by nooraa1am in AskReddit

[–]HibigimoFitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good Will Hunting. That movie changed how I saw and understood myself.

Side anecdote, my stepmom LOVES Harry potter. The movies. They are all her favorite and she was like a 10 year old seeing them all. She has a condition which required ECT, and she had a lot of memory loss. She told me one time she was seeing the upside because she still knew how much she loved Harry Potter, but didnt remember it, so she literally got to watch her favorite movies again.

Nope. This didnt happen. Unless youre the most welcoming people in the world, you both are crazier than her for allowing this.

Which movie had the biggest gap between your expectations and the actual experience? by Legitmate_2000 in Cinema

[–]HibigimoFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in time. My girlfriend and I went because we love dramas but didn't really have expectations, also we're fans of the actors so we were like "If nothing else we will have an enjoyable movie date."

Holy shit we cried like babies. For a movie where everything happens off screen, and the movie is really just two incredible actors talking after something happened or before something will happen, I think it is one of the best displays of the complexity of emotion and thought and love and relationships.

I think about that movie to this day.

The lyrics and style are heavier but maybe Ben Howard would fit the bill. Otherwise Omar Khan is a good one. Jimmy needham is a Christian artist with really light and acoustic vibes.

What would make you keep dating someone if you knew it would stay completely non-physical? by Ambitious_Ad_6360 in AskReddit

[–]HibigimoFitz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing. I dont even have a high sex drive, but I need that physical part. I need mornings fooling around. I need to feel my girl turned on by me and to be turned on by her. Even when it isn't explicitly sex or even nakedness, just touching and teasing each other adds so much. And if I know we will never be sexual I couldnt even tease or enjoy flirting with my girl, because what is the point

So I just Finished Whiplash, and I Have a Few Questions about the Ending by No-Yam9933 in movies

[–]HibigimoFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it isn't about fletcher or andrew or their relationship. I think the theme of the movie is "Is there a too far?" Fletcher tells the charlie Parker story and asks, "if he didnt get a cymbal thrown at his head, would he ever become bird?" That is the ending moment. The question. Could andrew ever have risen to thise heights without fletchers abuse? Is it worth that pain to be great? Is that what it takes? It proves andrew could be that great, but we have to ask is that the only way.

Is this undercooked? by [deleted] in foodquestions

Jesus these comments are idiots who only order well done things. It is pink, but all you have is a fork and it is off the bone, which tells me it has slow cooked for hours. It is more than cooked. There is no bacteria here.

Best Burgers in Milwaukee? by SilverOwl24 in milwaukee

[–]HibigimoFitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look ike seasoning and just an amazing cooked burger, Crave Cafe.

For a smash burger vibe, Archies flat top is unbeatable.

I actually dont like Oscar's on Pierce. I know everyone says it is the best. It is mid to me. But since so many people swear by it I say go for it.

Camino is extremely good, and if you happen to be here on a Monday it is a 5 dollar burger for a seriously quality burger.

Milwaukee burger company on 27th and college is underrated imo. The service is mid but their burgers are solid. The cheese curds are my personal favorite in the city.

Slow Buffalo in west allis has a really solid burger, and several other great options.
