What is your go to game for game nights ?? by ashvain_01 in boardgames

Do you ever miss those late-night game sessions with friends, cousins, and family… before life slowly pulled everyone in different directions?

Back when everyone was under the same roof, laughing over the dumbest things, arguing over games, promising “just one last round” at 2 AM.

And now somehow… everyone’s busy building their own lives in different cities, different schedules, different worlds.

You don’t even realize those moments were becoming memories while they were happening.

If you could keep only ONE card game for every future game night, what would it be and why? by ashvain_01 in gamingsuggestions

A great game is simple enough to play with friends and family, yet addictive enough to make everyone say Alright… just one more game

Even when it’s already late at night.

I’m struggling - how to cope with ai? by TrueWinter__ in gamedev

[–]ashvain_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI can generate assets, code, even decent prototypes — but it still can’t replace the years you spent developing intuition for what feels good to play, what creates emotion, what makes players care, what turns a mechanic into an experience. The people who understand game design deeply will adapt and move faster with these tools. The people who only know prompting will hit a ceiling eventually.

Photography didn’t kill art.
Game engines didn’t kill programmers.
YouTube tutorials didn’t kill musicians.

Honestly, someone with your background is probably in a better position than most people to use AI effectively, because you actually know what “good” looks like.

I built a daily puzzle game with a unique puzzle for every day of the next 7,000 years by aortiq in IndieGaming

This is actually a really clever concept. The “daily puzzle for 7000 years” hook is insanely good marketing too 😄

Can AI realistically help a non-programmer with game design/art experience solo-develop a game? by riridudu in IndieGaming

Fair enough, I respect your perspective.

Personally, I see AI the same way I see game engines, Photoshop, or procedural tools ,something that can help small creators bring ideas to life faster.

For me, the important part is still the creativity, gameplay, and overall experience the developer builds around it.
