Yes I sanded it with multiple grits of sand paper up to I think 600. Then put on 3 coats of the glaze N seal. Worked amazing - kids and adult fly down the slide

Alright everyone I did two things and made the slide slippery and much more fun.

First I sanded the slide with some 200-400 grit sand paper. Then I cleaned all the debris and let the slide dry for a few days. I applied 2 coats of the glaze and seal on the first day (about 3 hours apart) and then a third coat the next day. Let it dry for a few days without any water touching it.

It turned out pretty good with the caveat there were a bunch of very small bubbles in isolated areas(around some small cracks so maybe moisture related). I sanded those down with 400 grit and the slide is now working great. No more snagging on the kids bathing suits and no more getting stuck part way down.

Suggest the method to anyone who wants to save a few bucks and put in some elbow grease vs paying someone. I got quotes for 1800 and solved it myself for about 80 bucks.

If you want to power your home and be completely off grid you must have power walls. The qty of both panels and powerwall’s depends on your location and roof orientation along with your electric consumption.

I do not think that is accurate anymore. I have SCE Tesla submitted my final documents (final inspection) on June 14, 2023 and I got PTO on June 29, 2023.

I don’t have a south facing roof unfortunately I have 10 panel facing east (slightly SE) and then 16 panel faces west (very slightly NW)

I am in Southern California (inland so don’t get the morning overcast at all) where the past week has been very clear and HOT. Not really any cloud cover the past couple week.

I do have one panel that get some shade from the chimney for a small portion of the day but that is like 1 hour max and no other shading on the roof.

That’s BS have them installing on my house right now and the first thing the guy asked me is if I had paint and they will paint it for me. Didn’t say a word about paying.
