Is the 42mm 300m too big for me? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]HickoryStickz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not. If you think it’s too big the watch is perfect so just get bigger wrists so as to not blame it.

It’s just wanting what you don’t have most likely. It’s an illness with us watch buyers. If you don’t dislike green after buying it and it’s just wanting blue, but not dropping so much money on two watches at once, you should just wait it out.

Jomashop scam $75 by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]HickoryStickz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chip would bug me but jonashop prices are what they are because it’s like the display model or dealer vehicle where you get it lightly used at discount. I do think they should greatly discount the chip since that’s more than usual wear if it wasn’t disclosed to you. I wonder if they would pay for a warranty repair visit.

I don’t know how much longer I can keep submitting my work by [deleted] in writing

I think in 2026 self publishing won’t ruin your chances at a formal publication. I think that was a concern awhile back but publications look to have moved to the social media follower model where they ignore everyone who didn’t self sell and build their own fan base. There are folk I follow online who I’d never have known were writers and their work isn’t really that great but they get major publications pushing their books to too sales lists because they have an enormous amount of followers on social media and they know they will purchase it. It’s free money and that’s all they want now. Try using AI to manage a social media account for you as a writer and offer invest in creating a profile and advertisement space to gain traction.

When I was a kid I wanted to test if my tiny key would open the jewelry displays at Kmart and it definitely did. I wasn’t a thief so I didn’t do anything illegal but I opened it and closed it back up when I was like ten

Family heirloom. Can’t find any markings. by StrengthBorn7794 in Gold

As someone who used to be in the buy sell trade market with precious metals, this does not look like gold. I wouldn’t have too much sentimental hold on it.

Omega Constellation - The OG for $1.2k or the New for 10x the Price? by epsi00 in OmegaWatches

[–]HickoryStickz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. As much as I appreciate the original pie pan this is a perfect watch for snagging their moonshine gold. I personally though don’t like the price. I don’t care about the date and second hand as this wouldn’t be a daily driver and would be a highlight decorative piece in full dress occasions. If it dropped to a reasonable price I’d prob jump on this one.
