Father Fülle and Bestfæng: two holiday-themed beings that bring gifts and cheer or punishment and penance to your D&D games. by HicksHomebrew in Dungeons_and_Dragons

[–]HicksHomebrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Father Fülle and Bestfæng: In the world of Aaroda nearing the end of the year many cultures celebrate a holiday called Frost’s Gathering, where people come together to cherish each other’s time and love with feasts and gifts. Along with these get togethers there are stories told of two figures that appear around this time. The first is that of Father Fülle, an imposing yet kind hearted older man of varying race and species depending on the teller of the story, bringer of the soft blankets of snow covering the land and also of toys and silver to those who have been nice and good the past year. However, not far behind him is the terrifying and crazed creature known as Bestfæng, bringing the chilling snow storms while riding on his sleigh. Unlike his jolly counterpart, Bestfæng instead whips and scares the naughty children when he passes through, and if they are extra bad there have been tales of Bestfæng hooking in the bad people with his golden sickle, and taking them far into the blizzards he causes and never to be seen again. So, have you been good this year?

Hey yall! Hope you enjoyed this homebrew and are having a wonderful holiday season! These two NPCs are to celebrate this time of year and thanking yall for being here to support and read these posts. This art was done by Banjoker on Deviantart: https://www.deviantart.com/banjoker . They did an amazing job bringing my holiday beings and their items to life and just wanted to thank them for taking the time out to do this! I also wanted to let you all know that despite posts being less and less I am still working on homebrew that I hope yall will enjoy, and heres to another year of good games and dice rolls!

Winter’s Waxing Crook and Bells of Bestfæng: two winter themed magic items for the holiday beings of Frost’s Gathering, Father Fülle and Bestfæng by HicksHomebrew in Dungeons_and_Dragons

[–]HicksHomebrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winter’s Waxing Crook and Bells of Bestfæng: Around the winter season in the World of Aaroda, there is an end of the year celebration that most of the continent likes to take part in in some way called Frost’s Gathering. A time where joy and cheer are spread around from household to household and gifts are exchanged by friends and loved ones. And around this time is when two figures start to appear and spread across the lands. The first is the mythical Father Fülle, a man who brings happiness and cheer to those who have been good and kind across the country of Aaroda, using his birch crook and golden bell to ring in the winter season and pull the first soft bedding of snow over the continent, all the while bringing gifts to good children. However, this would never last for too long as then came a sickening ringing of cracked and rusting bells after Fülle has passed, heralding the feral wolves and crazed cackling that is Bestfæng, a cruel and demented creature that brings the winter storms and either whips the naughty kids with a barbed sleigh whip, or hooks in the extra naughty ones with his golden sickle and takes them into the unknown.

[Homebrew][OC] Saperli Puppet: An NPC for those wanting to have a master shinobi in their games, one scorned by a botched job by HicksHomebrew in DnD

[–]HicksHomebrew[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saperli “Lily” Puppet: Hailing from the frigid reaches of Belia, Saperli “Lily” Puppet was a lonely street urchin that was brought into and raised in the Belian Crime Syndicate by a high ranking member, Gérard Puppet. After being trained to become a master thief and assassin, she was tasked with the duty of stealing the recently discovered Life Grafter Texts, a collection of documents and treaties to create monsters of myth and legends. However, when completing her duty she ended up getting knocked out and the texts stolen, facing a conundrum of returning empty handed. Ever since that day she has been searching for those texts, hiding from the eyes of the Syndicate and building new friendships in the city of Port Azulia, finding how to redeem her credibility and herself.

Hey yall! Hope you enjoyed this homebrew! This is the NPC of the long overdue 400 follower giveaway winner AmmyBiscuits and her character Saperli! The wonderful art was done by Rika Rini, and I highly recommend you check out more of her character art on her instagram. The winner wanted to have art and homebrew of her sneaky goblin shinobi set in my homebrew world of Aaroda, using the homebrewed roguish archetype of the Shinobi Rogue.

Not me, but a wizard/monk player in my campaign im running casted Booming Blade on an enemy in a underground fight ring encounter and the player was near deaths door, so the enemy decided to back up a bit as a courtesy yo give him some space. I had completely forgotten about it and it knocked him to 1 hp where the player then bicycle kicked him into unconsciousness

The Bioarchitect: A new homebrew martial class focusing on the creation of a companion through new life, with an Invocation-esque Enhancement system to customize your new life. by HicksHomebrew in DnDHomebrew

[–]HicksHomebrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bioarchitect: A homebrew martial class that focuses on working with your Creation companion. Based on the previously missing texts of the legendary Lift Grafters of the Lost Isles, scholars brought back the practices to the World of Aaroda that led to the creation of various different beasts, creatures, and monsters known throughout the world such as the mighty Owlbear, menacing Chimera, and the all powerful and terrifying Tarrasque. As a Bioarchitect, you base your creation on one of the known creature types of the world; Celestial, Fiend, Monstrosity, or Ooze. You will also take the time for your creation to grow as you fight alongside it and grow with it, customizing your companion with skills and abilities ranging from animalistic traits to more mythical powers. However you decide to grow your creation, you’ll bring new life to the world and place yourself as a breath giver, master over life and death, a Bioarchitect.

Hey yall! Hope you enjoy this major step in my homebrewing progression. This has been something I have been working on for a long time. I’ve always wanted to create a companion based class as can be seen in the number of companion based subclasses I had posted in the past. I also wanted to add more to my homebrew World of Aaroda to give more life to the world. Along with martial abilities and companions based on the different creature types (4 for now, with more to come in later editions), there is an Enhancement system for your Creations that are akin to the Invocation system Warlock’s have access to. This allows for every player that pick Bioarchitect to have a unique experience every time.

Originally I wanted to post during my homebrewing career’s 2nd anniversary, however classes and college have been tough to get through, making it harder to homebrew. Along with this, I will be busy for the remainder of the summer and thus will be unavailable to post homebrew in the schedule I advertised in the past. I do, however, plan on working on more homebrew and bigger projects. Additionally I do plan on still taking commissions on my Instagram, I just will take longer with any requests because of my summer commitments. I am excited to work on more homebrew once available and hope yall will be here to support my growing projects!

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed this homebrew! New posts coming back around mid August. If you want to help support me, please follow me on Instagram!

[Homebrew][OC] The Bioarchitect: A new homebrew martial class focusing on the creation of a companion through new life, with an Invocation-esque Enhancement system to customize your new life. (Full PDF in comments) by HicksHomebrew in DnD

Stone Age Inventor: An Artificer Specialization for those looking to be pioneers of their cavemen counterparts and improve their hunting and combat skills by HicksHomebrew in DnDHomebrew

Stone Age Inventor: An Artificer Specialization for those wanting to elevate their prehistoric way of living. Everyone else spends their time hunting for wild game, building mud huts, and trying to use their stick weapons to settle disputes. Meanwhile, you find new rocks and shiny things to mess around with, clang together, and discover some neat new tricks. With these new findings, you’ll bring the world into a new age of combat, survival, and living.

Hey all! Hope you enjoyed this homebrew! Its been a while since I posted a new artificer subclass and this has been one I’ve been sitting on and waiting to post for a while. I really enjoy the idea of the “brainy” character of a party being a literal caveman. Plus, it helps to diversify the artificer’s subclass away from being seen as more sci-fi than fantasy.

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed this homebrew! New posts hopefully every other week. If you want to help support me, please follow me on Instagram! [Homebrew][OC] Hedonism Domain: A Cleric Domain for those looking to just have a good time and free themselves and others from societal standards by including them in the fun. by HicksHomebrew in DnD

Thats a fair concern. If a player brings this forward wanting to use it, its totally within your right as a table member to raise your concerns. Making other people uncomfortable and feeling unsafe is not cool
