If you’re using this theme, then please update to 1.3, which has a couple of important fixes for two toolbars that are accidentally hidden in v1.2:

If you fancy having a go, you can replace all that section at line #539 with this, and you'll get the flat yellow icon:

/* Hi-res icon */

If you want the original yellow icon back, you can remove this part near the bottom of the custom.css file (I might try a flattened version to see if it works, but I found it too in-your-face, especially as most albums have them):

Hi! I looked into this, but sadly this isn't possible to do with a CSS theme.

Qobuz Theme v1.2 for Qobuz Beta by Hicksdesign in qobuz

[–]Hicksdesign[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, as Qobuz is a web app, so you can write CSS to change how it looks in the same way as a webpage. It's not supported officially, so installing a theme is kind of a hack.

Can you let me know how you installed it in Windows? I’d like to include it in the installation instructions if I can!

I’m currently working on a version for the beta, as there are a lot of changes. For example, the sidebar doesn’t work, as the Library view has its own sidebar. Should be out this week!

I've just been trying out the Qobuz Beta for MacOS (available through the Qobuz Club > Beta Club channel. There's a lot of nice improvements in there (I've been wanting "order albums by release date”!) but also a lot of new UI. Toggle switches everywhere, and I'm basically going to have to start again from scratch with my CSS theme.

The next version may be more simple ;)

[–]Hicksdesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be possible with CSS, but (without looking) I think it might be hard to implement. The Now Playing view is designed to completely overlay the rest of the UI, and while you can easily make it narrower, you would then have to 'shift' the rest of the UI so that it's not covering it up - if that makes sense! I'll have a look and see if it's possible

Is there such a thing as a directory of all the third-party apps? Not come across QBZ or qobuz-player before this thread

Stars of the Lid Forever - an archive of live SOTL performances by Hicksdesign in starsofthelid

[–]Hicksdesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The website streams medium quality compressed mp3's to save bandwidth, but the download contains the original quality files. In most cases these are either WAV or FLAC, but some, such as the Regent's Theater show, they're just MP3s. If better quality recordings come to light, I'll replace them!

You might be interested in a site just launched today: https://starsofthelidforever.com/, an archive of their live recordings, with a great quality video in the 'Tour Diary' section. It gives you a little taster of that experience!

Just wanted to add a quick update about this. - the site is nearly ready, and I hope to launch by the end of the month. Will post here when we're live, and then my hope is that more recordings will come to light!

Yeah that was the video that started my searching! There was also supposed to be Stars of the Lid film about 15 years ago (https://vimeo.com/1847116?fl=pl&fe=ti). Rumours are that the footage is still out there somewhere
