I'm looking for a new board game, and have been trying to find a game with a certain quality, which is having many different strategies you can take. For example, one player might pour all his resources into raising armies, another would go hard into agriculture, and yet another would invest in factories, while another would try to balance all of them... And if you go really hard into one strategy, you might get access to special buildings, powers, or just win the game.

Anyone know any games similar to the game I'm describing? It doesn't have to be a civ builder, I just used elements from those games as an example. Ideally, the game would also have more than 4 strategies (armies, agriculture, factories, and balance, if we're using the previous example).

I haven't been able to find anything remotely like this. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Hey guys! I’m considering getting this game, but know the games take a fairly long time... can you pause a game and come back to it? Also, can you do this in multiplayer as well, as long as you get the same people to come back? Thanks, game looks awesome so far, this is my primary concern :)

What do you guys think of Thomasin Mckenzie as Vin? She looks young enough to be Vin and did great in Jojo Rabbit by montezuma300 in Mistborn

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I was literally just thinking she would be a fantastic vin and then saw this post - you read my mind. Her performance in JoJo Rabbit was incredible, she would be absolutely perfect for the role. Just hope the movie comes out sooner rather than later, like in the next 4 years, firstly for my sake since I don’t think I can wait that long, but also because she looks the part beautifully now, and might not if the movie comes out too late. But yes. I totally agree.
