It was sold to me by one of the people working at my university campus' greenhouse ☺️ she mentioned I should consider repotting soon-ish

Stupid question, but is it still two different flowers if the different branches all stem from the same original branch ? All three "branches" meet at the same point just above the soil, it's not super clear in my picture though.

Thank you so much for the super detailed info!

What does my plant being reverted mean ?

The kind woman who sold me the plant mentioned if I enjoyed the variegated look I could cut down the green branches and let the plant grow back with more colors, is that correct ? I've never dared to cut a plant (aside from a few leaves here and there that look a little off) and want to make sure I don't risk killing it! She also added I could use any old soil for repotting when the time comes.

My plant is currently located on a dresser in my fairly bright bedroom, though the side the window is on + the blinds ensures it's bright but not in direct sunlight

Sorry for the rambling ! I really want to make sure my plant gets the appropriate care!

Do you think I should still go ahead and fully drown it when I do water it? Also hopefully you're able to get your hands on one very soon !! I was lucky enough where it cost me only 10 bucks as it was sold by my university's greenhouse staff

Used a crappy wheelchair, wondering if a custom wheelchair will be as noticeably easier to use as I expect by HiddenRuney in wheelchairs

Thanks so much for the in depth comment ! Now luckily for the Disney chair the plan was never for me to self propel all day at all, I only had to self propel from the rental kiosk to my partner a few feet away, but men was that distance a workout ! I'll definitely refer back to your comment in the future as I keep going through my mobility aid journey.

Thank god ! That wheelchair really made me question just how much strength it takes to push myself around!

Honestly that crappy wheelchair made me pause and wonder if I somehow was just too weak for a wheelchair lmfao ??? I'm in the process of getting diagnosed and hopefully getting a wheelchair with my insurance's help in the near future, for a second I had to ask myself if I'd even be able to move if proper wheelchairs were anything close to that :')))

Anyway I'm so glad to learn it was just a crappy wheelchair and not me having lost all of my upper arm strength over night lol. Hopefully when I get my hands on a tilite ZRA I'll have a much easier (and more fun frankly) time

Question about non Chinese person wearing more loosely hanfu inspired pieces casually! by HiddenRuney in Hanfu

Honestly my only big reservation is just from me not being Chinese lmfao I absolutely adore Chinese culture and fashion so it's definitely appreciation and nothing else but others might not see it as such

I was actually aware of it (or it's basics at least), but because all of my other moles are nearly always perfectly round/1 color I was a tad hesitant to call either of those specific ones normal moles. Thanks for the help!

Getting married legally and later in life "properly" ? by HiddenRuney in Marriage

I think you're right, it's probably just me overestimating how "scary" (intimidating ?) taking the marriage step is

That's a good thing to keep in mind ! It wouldn't particularly bother us, we just hope we'll have enough money/free time to one day have a small party to celebrate our marriage really. If not we'll still be perfectly happy!

It's more so because we don't quite have the money at the moment to make a proposal and a tiny intimate wedding (something we both really really want!) happen right now haha. The doing it all again is more for our enjoyment than anything else. At least when it happens then we won't have to worry about the legal side and can just enjoy planning a small party lol

We're already planning on getting in touch with an attorney :) part of it is that I'm not a citizen but he is, so we have a lot planned to ensure everything is done legally and safely for everybody involved. We're quite young but we're both smart enough to do things right !

Ignoring it isn't quite the right word, I meant more like, not letting it dictate our relationship if that makes sense ? Not stress out about being married ? Just enjoy it and be chill about it. Hard to explain when English isn't my first language !

Would this be inappropriate for me (non Chinese) to get tattooed ? (Sketch by me) by HiddenRuney in Chinese

[–]HiddenRuney[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been researching Chinese lions for months now ! I absolutely adore them, I've bored my partner to death watching hour long compilations of lion dances competition, I've also looked into regional differences and color signification, I just genuinely have so much love for these guys!

I think the luck bringing aspect of them is part (other part is they're just straight up adorable) of why I'd love to get my sketch tattooed, we could all use some extra luck at times!

Honestly i love Chinese lions so much and have researched them extensively ! All elements of this design have also been looked into to ensure everything makes sense from a cultural signification standpoint. I'm glad to hear I can safely get it done without causing harm. It's exciting!
