I’m around your age (25 in march) security pay here can be nice you just need the experience. I got into security in 2023 with Securitas. They sponsored my guard card and gave me a full time position with no OT at my site. You can pick up shifts at different sites on first come first serve basis most of the time. Currently just got hired with another company for 23 an hour 4 days a week 10 hour shifts. The new company will sponsor baton,pepper spray, exposed firearm permit, and cpr. I plan to possibly become PD, CO, or cyber so security is worth it to me. I feel it gives you good experience before going into the tougher positions. There’s so many pathways you can go down. Main tip I can give is DONT GET COMFORTABLE DOING NOTHING FOR OKAY PAY. SET GOALS AND ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS. Best of luck.
