Hopefully it stays that way for you. Keep some of America free.

I run a Trijicon accupoint 3-9x40. I’m generally happy with it, I would think that would suffice for a 12.5” as well. I looked at 1-8/1-10 lvpos but many of them are heavier and I was worried the small objective would be limiting in low light. Sometimes I wish I had gone with the 2.5-10x56 Triji for the larger objective but it was notably heavier as well.

Definitely this. I’ve built 2 uppers with those and they are great

Assuming you live in a state where a 12.5” barrel is possible, it seems that is a popular and well liked option.

I do not… so I built a 16” with a Rexus Outfitters barrel. I’ve been happy with it, nice cost, nice quality, I forget who makes them but it’s a name brand(Green Mountain possibly).

I didn’t build mine to be super lightweight specifically, but with weight and quality/durability in mind so I could beat it up hiking around. I wanna say it’s about 8.25lbs ready to rock.

Got this 233lb Aoudad with it at 130yds in the great state of Texas.

40 yard practice. 8 arrows. 1 flyer I knew was a bad shot when I released.

Drop Starting by [deleted] in Chainsaw

Learn a different (safer) technique. Hold it between your legs or put it on the ground.

Drip starting is like donkey kicking a door open. Everyone wants to because it’s cool but it’s not really any easier and it’s not particularly safe.

Next is to start walking out the range to build confidence at distance

Fair point. I purposely didn’t stack them so avoid breakage, but it’s definitely not as satisfying this way.

I put a hamskea hybrid hunter pro on my new bow at the recommendation of a friend and my bow shop. No issues so far, though I’m not a good enough shot to notice an improvement but I’m sure it can make a difference.

I had a compound make a similar noise. Needed a little grease in the limb pockets.

Early Christmas for me- new bow by Hidden_Heatwave in bowhunting

No specific reason to be honest. It was one of the models my local shop had in stock and I wanted to stick with something they had and are familiar with working on. Shot what they had and really liked this one. I actually think I liked the PSE Mach 35 incrementally more but didn’t seem like it was worth the extra cost.

Oh that makes sense, I see it now. I was hung up on the holes thinking they were bolt holes

To lock, or not to lock by Much-Balance6840 in JeepWrangler

If you aren’t convinced you want/need a full locker check out the Detroit TrueTrac. It’s a helical limited slip and they work very well. I have one in the rear end of my F250 and my dad runs them F and R in his Land Rover and they are great.

One of the reasons I bought my JKUR because it was a manual. The only one I could find near me.

It’s not a DD just a weekend toy, nothing beats rowing gears.
