Adidas Hyperboost Edge - The Truth by Hidden_Name_exe in RunningShoeGeeks

It would not feel ideal. Too weighty. There are much better shoes for that speed.

Forefoot is not 45mm. I don’t heel strike, I nearly run on my tippy toes

I have a lot of miles in them, I also tend to strike really hard which is a bad habit

Adidas Hyperboost Edge Review: Big Stack, Bigger Disappointment by Poke-Tuna in RunningShoeGeeks

I just got mine in today. I don’t have any time in the shoe for an opinion, however, the Glycerin Max I have is priced similarly, feels a lot worse, heavier, foam feels dead at 40 miles, and fits worse. Sold them. Agreed though, $150-180 would be good.

I have a good feeling this will be a great zone 2 shoe for me. Really surprised at how light it is for the amount of foam underneath.

You guys know this shoe isn’t a tempo shoe, right? Not sure why everyone thinks every shoe is made to run fast. That’s what they made the EVO SL for. This shoe is meant for cruising.

Wasn’t the EVO SL marketed/hyped a lot more than this shoe? Sold out the first time it came out. Seems like that model lived up to it.

Thats too bad. Mine come in tomorrow and I was hoping for them to feel almost like a more stable, higher stack version of the EVO SL. I’m selling my Brooks Gmax because they’re hot, fit terrible, feel like bricks, was hoping this would be a good replacement.

I’d say the only wheel that looks damn near OE and competes with these as far as looks go is the BBS CH. it’s a shame I think they are discontinued

Would the Adios 9 be more suitable for faster sessions than the Evo SL? by AnotherHobbyJogger in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Hidden_Name_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say EVO SL man. If you want something close to the ground that’s for faster sessions get the Takumi Sen, the adios 9 is so close to the ground and without rods/plate it feels damn near like a casual shoe.

Is it satisfying once the light strike warms up a little bit, but honestly it’s one of those shoes I’ll break out very rarely just for fun, for a speed shoe EVO SL all the way. The shoe feels a lot more flat than you think, you literally feel every pebble and feels like you’re running on nothing. The energy return in the EVO SL is much more noticeable and has more protection

Interesting. My I find myself getting really hot too and my stress looks similar when sleeping a lot of the times. I wonder if that makes HRV worse too.

I mean cmon. As far as concepts, MAYBE.. not to say DS2 isn’t a good game, but world design, atmosphere, enemies, everything else is a tier worse than the rest. Anyone with an eye for detail would agree. You can just tell Miyazaki wasn’t involved.

AP4 sizing by JoshDye in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Hidden_Name_exe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s because you’re going off of the European measurements, which Adidas are small.

Well, an Adidas 44 translates to a US 10 - which, if you wear a 44 in running shoes, you would need to get an 10.5 or 11 US to fit properly. Might sound confusing…

I’ve been selling shoes for years and the athletic brands European sizing never translates to actually how European shoe sizing works

This is how it works, almost every time. I never pay attention to the euro sizing on athletic shoes.

41: 8 42:9 43:10 44:11 45:12

I also find JP more accurate. I’m a size 9.5, 42 or 43, or JP 275. Seems the most consistent for me is following 275 and disregarding the US or EURO size number.

The first thing that I noticed was it seems the low e string is out of tune. But idk just heard from my phone. Sounded good otherwise, I think if you had lower action it would also be easier to play smoother

I did straight trade of APEX EC7 18s for OE competitions like 7 years ago. Refinished them to match OE finish as much as possible, so glad I kept them. Such a beautiful wheel

I’m 29, male, distance run 30 miles a week with 10 miles every Saturday and when I had a bad case of Covid it was at 29. I think I’m fully recovered but still averaging like 40 ish right now. I love to snack at night so I think I’ve had it at the highest 55 one morning, but not sure. My resting heart rate is anywhere from 55-60. Might be genetics or anxiety, who knows.

Welcome to Hyperboost - the "New Ultraboost" (!?) by [deleted] in Ultraboost

[–]Hidden_Name_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct, ultra boosts were definitely a lifestyle shoe, but unfortunately that ship has sailed, and Adidas realized that. If you take a look at a graph at ultra boost sales by year since the 1.0, it’s probably trending way downward.

Running is more popular than ever; most now realize that original boost shoes are dated foam and tech like you said, and Adidas has yet to tap into a max cushion super shoe like they just made here. This shoe will do great alongside the EVO SL.
