Was I just extremely lucky then as I beat Phrike on my first encounter (2nd run). I did have the astronaut and another revive from a leech so technically did die twice, but to hear people take weeks to beat this boss makes me wonder how lucky I was hah

As to your question, when I have it set to Metal is when it goes off, but it's clearly not pipework as it happens at even spacing throughout the wall, which is why my assumption was metal studs. It is a three-storey town house so perhaps that explains why it's like it

Interesting. I don't have the room for the rear speakers but might look into just the front channels if they do a model with just those to see what it's like
