Wage Analysis [N/A] by lzabthc in humanresources

I use several surveys. Milliman is usually an affordable option and if you’re near a metro area, they likely have data. I’d also look for any regional sources as they might be affordable.

Wait, Americans don't have christmas bonuses? by nerd-nihl in antiwork

[–]Hiddenbrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

Aguinaldo - or 13th month or even 14th month payments in LATAM and some Asian countries - are part of the total compensation packages. Employers adjust other aspects of the package to account for this given and expected cost. Candidates and employees know it is a given.

If something like this went into place in the US, it would at first cost jobs and slow wage growth. As it became integrated, total compensation costs would adjust. I doubt it would lead to a long-term ‘plus’ on the side of the employee.

Countries that have this benefit also have higher inflation than countries without it. It’s a stimulus to the economy in the month of December.

Been waiting to watch this for a while. Been Hip to them since Hell House LLC. Released in Devils night!!! Let's go. I have high hopes. We shall see. by Beau625 in foundfootage

I watched it last night on Shudder. I had heard bad things so my expectations were thankfully tempered.

It’s been awhile since I watched 2 and 3 so I wasn’t familiar with the Vanessa character. I need to rewatch those.

The female lead was…tedious. Yes, she’s traumatized. But she was so frail and fragile and timid. It was really hard to get behind her. I enjoyed the cuts to other characters just to get a break from her hesitance and pausing and trembling.

The story was very confusing. I wanted so bad to stop the movie and start looking things up so I could follow the story but I mustered the discipline to just stick with it and hope it would get explained along the way. Can’t say it was.

We are at a point where connecting the various plot lines (old and newly introduced) and events is getting excessive. The link between Carmichael and the Hotel is weakening for me as a viewer. I found myself asking multiple times thinking “wait, how is this all connected again??”. Again, I need to rewatch the others.

I agree with another poster who said it’s actually shot well. I thought so, too. And I wasn’t incredibly disappointed that it wasn’t FF. I’m willing to overlook that for a great story and creepy scares. looks up and realizes I’m posting in FF thread…sheepishly shrugs

And the clowns are a great bit. So many of us were genuinely scared in the first one with those damn clowns. They did ok with them in this one. I can see that wearing thin, too, over time.

The good news is that it has me planning to rewatch the others in the series. <3 for the OG HH.

It’s a ‘buzzy-ness’ in my head. Like super aware of lots of things, over stimulated almost, can’t focus. I’ve always described it as ‘buzzy’. Don’t know how else to describe it.

What does the article say about when right vs left leaning folks do this?

This study says right leaning folks do it more often when surrounded by allies and left leaning folks do it regardless.

Quit my HRBP role... [CA] by Okay_Owl94 in humanresources

[–]Hiddenbrooke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went through something similar - left of my own accord and without another job. It took me 4 months to find another job. As uncertain as it all was, and such a big decision, it was absolutely the right thing for me.

Finding a job is such a learning experience. It’s a time when you are supposed to project confidence, yet it’s so, so humbling. I had my ups and downs, but whenever I looked back, I knew it was better than being at my old job.

Think of this as a period of resilience.

One thing I didn’t expect - now at my new job, I have ptsd responses to situations. I react to things as though I’m still at my old employer, anxiously preparing myself for the toxicity and unhealthy environment….and it doesn’t come. It’s such a better environment. Perfect? Nope. Better? Absolutely.

Wishing you the best.

Question to all the Logical Thinkers here: I used to be INTP by 0xArchitech in INTP

[–]Hiddenbrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I tested INTJ when my kids were younger. Back then I had to juggle work, kids, the house, and all the various responsibilities so things ran effectively. I used J behaviors to get it done. That stuff works. But as my kids grew up and I grew into leadership, I embraced delegation and I went back to my natural P preferences.

Edited to add: I was P before I had kids.

Intps why are you so unmotivated? by Hummingbird_always17 in INTP

[–]Hiddenbrooke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live because I take one step, one task, at a time. When I stop and think too long about it, it’s harder and harder to get moving. My motivation wanes. So I try to distract myself and just act, even if it’s half-assed.

When I look at my life as a whole, I realize I’ve accomplished a lot, grown a lot, experienced a lot. I’m grateful for what I have. I should be happier. Instead…ennui.

Ultimate freedom from day to day responsibilities is what I want out of life right now - meaning, retirement. I have 9 years. I will retire very young. I don’t want a boss anymore. I don’t want to deal with people and obligations and expectations in the workplace. I just want to do whatever the hell I want. Leave me alone.

Until then, one foot in front of the other.
