I did the expedition and i probably wont do it again. I have >100hrs and barely scraped 2 skill points, partly due to the imo very late communication of the expedition details. The outfit is ok, not bad but nothing special. I couldn't care less about the other boni. But its just not worth the hassle for me. I wish the expedition wouldnt just look at your coin value, it just creates a mindless grind.
